Posada Mawimbi - 77310 Holbox

Posada Mawimbi is the perfect beachfront boutique hotel. The staff and eco-friendly accommodations are excellent. All travel arrangements from CUN airport were made in advance. The restaurant’s food is great and is located on the beach. Sightseeing tours are arranged at the reception desk. Close enough to town that you don't need to rent a golf cart. We will be coming back.

The restaurant of the hotel is well located by the beach ….. good Mexican food … friendly staff… We stopped there for a quick bite on our way back from the boat tour, we ordered guacamole and a mix of quesadillas, it was really good and we ate it all in very little time! I highly recommend this place

We loved the Mawimbi staff and accommodations! Best location on the beach for sure. We walked down the beach in both directions and this was by far the best. The landscaping with palm trees and the traditional Mexican palapa resort structures made it magical and especially lit up at night. The owner and staff were so friendly. We are already planning a trip back!

Beautiful beach place with outlets and wifi and good cell service. We used our telcel hotspot and were able to work. The food was okay and was served cold, when we told them, they just microwaved it :( , severs were very nice though and we sat there for hours, went and swam in the beach, hung out on the many hammocks - lovely time ?

Mawimbi was the best part of our 10 day trip around Mexico. Perfect location, clean rooms, helpful recommendations and the best margarita from our entire trip. I left my coat behind and they also helped return it. 5 star service.

Amazing hotel with the friendliest staff on the island. Marcia is a delight and the beach is by far the best of all the hotels. The location to downtown can’t be beat! Highly highly recommend!

1. Marcia at reception is lovely. Very helpful and made our stay memorable. She knows the town really well and provided super recommendations for food, shopping and experiences. 2. Leo in the restaurant barquito Mawimbi is an lovely person who provides amazing service as server and super happy attitude. 3. The fixed breakfast menu was great all days we stayed. But, I think you can order whatever you want. 4. The room was pristine 5. Facility was very well maintained 6. The little detailed touches on lights and decor everywhere is really refreshing and shows the great pride the staff take in their work. 7. The beach is immaculate. They sift it! Again the attention to detail is really cool. The beach is so much cleaner than anywhere. Even the properties a few feet down the beach weren't as clean. 8. This place was the perfect place to go and disconnect. The options for lounging on the beach are all perfect. You can leave the hustle and bustle behind and transport to paradise. 9. Coincidentally the WiFi strength was strong and pretty consistent

Our stay at Mawimbi was so relaxing and restorative. We loved the low key unpretentious vibe. The rooms are simple and clean, the beds are so comfortable you drift right to sleep. We enjoyed the breakfast, coffee and fresh squeezed juice each morning. And had some great meals, snacks and drinks from the restaurant- especially nice when enjoyed while relaxing on the sun loungers beachside. We especially loved Miguel- his warm and welcoming energy made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. The beach area was kept clean and relaxed, we appreciated that there wasn't any loud music playing so we could enjoy the sound of the waves and enjoy reading or people watching while lounging. We also want to thank Marcia in the front office, she answered my many questions prior to arrival and during our stay and arranged our transportation to and from the airport . Our stay at Mawimbi was a little slice of heaven:)
