BEWARE Tourist Scams. 1. The tourist information stands are timeshare scams. Don't fall for it . 2. Taxi Cabs at the docks are gouging tourist. They are charging per person. They wanted 18 dollars for two to go to Plaza Juarez near the Mercado Municipal.. I walked three minutes to the shell gas station and called uber. Paid 109 pesos 5.39 usd. i tipped 3 dollars. Don't get scammed....

Clean place, catering to cruise ship passengers and water adventures. There are typical tourist shops. Concierge staff was very helpful and kind. Masks were required at this time.

I hate this place. I hate that you have to pass through it to board any portside attraction. I hate the confusing layout and the people ordering you around. I hate that they demand you get a souvenir photo before entering and make it seem like you can't refuse. I hate that every single person is determined to bother you every step of the way-- busking, giving wrong directions, getting angry when you say you don't need to go somewhere or you're not part of a cruise. I hate that there's no simple way to exit. I hate that the taxi drivers they send me to haven't heard of my hotel. I hate that cruise taxis are unavailable to everyone else. I hate how crowded the gate area is. I hate that port fees are never included in price and require a separate, cash-only transaction on the opposite side of the mall from the port entrance. I hate how irritated everyone seems and how quick they are to get angry. I'm exhausted from every visit I've had there and how infectious the bad vibes are. But at least it's clean.

If stopping off for a cruise and looking for souvenirs the small flea market by the dos hermanos statues will give you a more authentic experience, but beware the merchants can be very pushy. Do not buy the tequila, unless youve done your research and it is a rare bottle at a good price but not my experience. If its too overwhelming, Similar items are sold in the adjacent plaza with a more "mall" like feel with less pushy salesmen but no price haggling.

Rhythm of the night: It’s overpriced for the experience…I paid $132+ And regretted it instantly. Although, the hosts were friendly, they weren’t playing good music on the boat. The show was nice, but kind of short. After the show we ate dinner, they had good food, but the margaritas tasted like chemicals. Overall I rated it a 2 because you couldn’t enjoy anything on the island since it was so dark. I’m sure it’s beautiful during the day, but I feel like they shouldn’t have people go on the boat when it’s completely dark (7pm). Also, don’t get VIP or open bar, it’s a waste of money. VIP people get to board first and get in line to eat first, but it’s not a long wait for those who aren’t VIP. The alcoholic beverages were not good, and after eating from the buffet you board the boat right away leaving no time to get “drunk,” and enjoy the open bar.

There are some really nice shops here with some high-quality souvenirs. I was pleasantly surprised. The parking signage and signage, in general, are pretty poor to non-existent if you are not coming via a cruise ship.

The place to meet up when you are getting ready for any adventure tour package you bought. There's a few shops, cafe, bar.... incase last minute you forget to bring something, this place will be selling for your tour needs. Might be over price unless you plan ahead and shop at Walmart across the street then things are cheaper. Pay your port fee here as well, then go to like a mini airport security check then off to your boat adventures

Nice place. Really a port for cruise ships but good shopping and be had. Sometimes there are people pushing timeshares and there is a fee of like $2 or $30 pesos if you are going somewhere by boat.
