★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn’t understand why it was called Punta Cometa, “comet point.” That is until I went at night during a new moon! I saw so many shooting stars I lost count, but best of all, I saw the milky way in its full glory. I come to Punta Cometa every day and watch sunset. It’s my favorite place in Mexico. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot for sunset watching and some chilling at the beach. Come with enought time to pick a good spot. Dirt paths and quite steep in some parts, with some stairs. Probably good for fit ones only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a bit of a hike there on a rough trail. Many people just wear flip-flops. I wold recommend better shoes. Our Teva hiking sandles work great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unreal. Worth the hike! You can’t bring alcohol to the park, they search and stop you at the beginning, but it’s worth it for the view. We saw 10+ whales over an hour whilst watching the sunset and weren’t even trying. Place was busy, but not packed. 100% am going to come again
