Amazing food in the middle of nowhere. Did not expect food would be so good. Dorian is very hospitable.

What a great hidden gem. Hard to spot, we got here by luck, but it was by far the best experience and food we had in the Cancun/Tulum area. The price is good, the service and food are even better. They took their time explaining us how everything was made and even giving us a lot of things to try. Anyways, I can't say enough good things about this place, GRACIAS!

Fantastic experience. On the road between Valladolid and Tulum, we missed the restaurant on the first sight. We did a turn around and finally found it. Juan welcomed us and explained stories of meals. He was so kind, exchanging with us while we were struggling with our spanish :-) Food was excellent, not expensive and the coffee revealed to be an amazing local experience ! Juan and this restaurant desserves to be known. We even regret not taking a picture together before leaving. Perhaps another time, see you Juan !

This place is really special. If you make the trip it will probably rank among your top meals in Tulum. We happened to find it on our way home from Coba but we will for sure be going back next time we’re in Tulum. The food was excellent and very sophisticated - kind of a nice change from the typical meals we’d been eating in local restaurants. We basically had a tasting menu of Mayan dishes that weren’t on the menu. Juan the owner was happy to go into great detail about the ingredients and preparation. He has quite a green thumb as you can see from the garden environment and he grows most of the vegetables for the meals on-site. He has chickens too. He and his wife were so kind to answer all of our questions (and suffer through my bad Spanish) about how they got the habanero salsa to be so layered without being too spicy, and how they smoked the beans in the “hot stone oven in the ground” and so forth (my partner is a chef so this convo went on for some time). I can’t say enough good things about this place. They also take credit cards which was amazing because we had run out of cash after paying for the ruins and cenotes and there are no banks around at all. I kind of want to set up an Instagram account to help these people with marketing but I also don’t want their peaceful spot to be overrun with people who don’t take food seriously so if you’re reading this, buen provecho!

Absolutely phenomenal. The service and the food was amazing. I didn’t get her name but the woman who owned the restaurant deserves more than 5 stars because she taught us a traditional salute and had amazing service. If I could give more stars, I would. I highly recommend going here.

I would never expect so good food in the middle of nowhere - go and taste fresh, well-presented dishes with standard prices. You can clearly see how much love puts the chef in this place. Nice little garden surrounded by trees and shade is a great addition.
