Rancho la Dinastía - 48283 El Cantón

This is a place every visitor should experience because there are so few of them anymore. l go by rancho everytime l walk to town. They only serve beer, and l don't drink, so usually get a juice from the tienda in El Canton and sometimes stop on my way back to kick it with the cowboy's who go almost every night for a beer before going home to dinner. I have only seen a woman there once or twice, always just men. No interior to this, where there would normally be tables and chairs at most places. A small dirt floor patio area outside has a tarp to keep the sun at a tolerable temperature and most the rain off if it storms, but otherwise everyone pretty much sits on their horses and drinks beer, singing, listening to Spanish country western music, or entertains the American neighbor who loves this place. It's beer only, cash only, mostly men only, no handicapped services, no restrooms (A Parotas tree out back is huge and will hide everything, no one will see you). Not a place for children, but dogs of all ages are welcome are welcome. I always bring Snowball. Beer is 20 pesos. Free entertainment for sure. Open daily except Mondays from 3 pm until everyone leaves.
