An absolute hidden GEM in Tulum. The owners are invested in everyone having an amazing experience. Food was authentic, locally sources and delicious. kanek (one of the owners) makes the best coffee in Tulum. Enough said…just go and experience it yourself.

Truly a hidden gem with a very relaxed atmosphere. Much care and thought goes into each cup of coffee served. Medium roasts are preferred here as they tend to deliver the most characteristics of the coffee bean being brewed. Each portion of beans is weighed for brewing, and the water is precisely heated to not burn the coffee. The whole beans are freshly machine ground at the time of ordering, then put through a hand grinder to ensure that the proper grind size is reached. Pour over and aeropress were the choices, so we did one of each... Now, I tend to prefer really strong coffee with a splash of cream, and what was served was not as bold as I often aim for when seeking a cup; however, the flavor was unparalleled. There were no bitter notes or overly acidic notes, and drinking a cup of black coffee was very enjoyable (even for my girlfriend who never drinks coffee black). Adding cream was not only unnecessary, it would ruin the delicious flavors. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend this place! We sipped coffee, sampled mescal, and ate a rich chocolate cookie: the flavor pairing of all three together was perfect! When I make it back to Tulum I look forward to trying out the food offered there! With the level of care in how the coffee and mescal are approached, I can only trust that foods prepared there are also intentionally constructed to taste their absolute best!

Recíproco is my favorite place to be in Tulum hands down. They have a beautiful selection of artesanal mezcales, cafés, and vinos (all of which are hard to come by here). They are open after 10 am and have love.y vegetarian breakfasts. The music played here is superior. Every detail has been payed attention. Everything at Recíproco is cooked above flame on a comal and the flavors are the most special. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a breezy atmosphere in nature to eat, drink, work on the computer with fast wifi, whatever.
