★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tacos were kind of average and the margaritas were hands down the worst I ever had. I felt like I was price gauged for a below average meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid at any cost. Go there once you tried all the bars in the street. They charge you more than in Paris and New York and also treat you like you have no clue what is going on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great drinks but got overcharged on my cc for “tax”. Not by much but it’s shady.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So good! Eaten here 3 times in a week! They have a few vegetarian/vegan options. My friend enjoyed her shrimp tacos and I love the Avocado frito tacos. The chips and salsas are so good; that chipotle is fire(meaning tasty, not spicy fire lol). The agua de tamarind is my fave as well.
This is an edit update; based on my last two visits here. I’ve noticed they charge the tip to your bill without asking you if you want to tip. I tip regardless, but I don’t like for you to add it to my bill without asking me. This has happen on multiple occasions now. Also, the tamarind drink is no longer natural, but is now made with artificial flavoring. Not likely to return, unfortunately.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10 years ago this place was called Tacos Acalos. Then it went out of business. Now it’s basically the same amazing restaurant. Sure, the prices might be A DOLLAR more per taco but trust me: ITS WORTH IT! If you’re coming all the way down to Mexico, get the Mexican experience and eat the street tacos here! I’m not ashamed to say that I ate here four (4) times in one day, three times with three separate friends and then a midnight snack by myself. Don’t pass up these tacos! The place is unassuming but the tacos are the best! I’ve visited Mexico well over 50 times! I’m kind of an expert. ;)
