★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was pleasantly surprised by the process here—the renting a car bit was what I was most nervous about for this trip as I read a lot of poor reviews of peoples experiences renting in Cancun in general. Even though there was a mixup with my reservation (due to booking through a third party company) they were able to get me in another car in a timely manner. Edgar was assisting me and was friendly and kind and very helpful in explaining what the fees were and what to expect. The shuttle was a little bit hard to find but again, i think because i booked though a third party and didn’t have clear instructions on where to meet. I would recommend this rental car company to a friend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lookout!!
a huge scam. We had rented a car for 3 weeks and we already fixed an all-in insurance from a third pary upfront. When we arrived we could take the rental car only if we took an extra insurance of €370 (this was absolutely not optional).
Never rent a car from this company and never pay in advance because you will regret it.
Canceling the rental and getting a refund was absolutely not an option with this company. Because the pick-up address of the cars is not at the airport but on a deserted site, you also have little choice to go for another option.
The only positive was the car and the way of returning it
Eventually we got a car and we had two insurance policies, in short we paid way too much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great vehicles and great service. Picked up at the airport, with a clean van and a polite driver. The price was competitive with insurance, they don’t mess around trying to up sale you insurance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AVOID AT ALL COST! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE from beginning to end!
Upon collecting the car, we were charged an extra $450 for obligatory insurance. They take absolutely no responsibility and blamed it on us for booking via a third party. So, we gave in and paid.
As previous car rental experience, we took photos and check the cars condition when given to us. I specifically told the staff to note down all scratches and defects on the green contract sheet, including the marks on the front wind screen. I speak fluent Spanish, so I highly doubt he didn't understand me. I also saw him mark it on the car drawing.
However, when we returned the car, they told us that we had to pay for the windscreen damages. I told them they were already there and showed them the paper work. The staff member ask us to leave our email as he needs to check it with the supervisor and we also had a flight to catch. So we left.
OUT OF NOWHERE AND WITHOUT EVEN EMAILING US, they charged us another $560 dollars from our credit card. We've sent customer service an enquiry email but NO RESPONSE for a justification till this day!
This is borderline fraud and I hope this review will get their attention to resolve this dispute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish ZERO stars was an option. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I could list the ways my otherwise great trip was negatively impacted but them but here are some highlights:
- booked an automatic hatchback (which I specifically wanted)
- when I arrived they didn't have the car and offered me a "BIG UPGRADE" - which was a manual 4 door, non-hatchback 71hp Chevy beat
- when I said that isn't what I booked or want they said I can wait 5 hours for another car to come back!!!
- got the normal insurance hassles even though it was supposed to be full insurance coverage
BUT this is the telling part
- when I returned the car I was first told there was a new scratch. I showed the pictures and videos I had taken showing the scratch (I was careful to get their person and office in the shots which avoided their response that I took them after I left). Even with the pictures it still took 15 minutes of arguing OF COURSE WHILE I NEEDED TO GET TO THE AIRPORT FOR MY FLIGHT HOME
- finally they relented on the scratch BUT miraculously there was now tire damage and he wanted $ 10USD or 220 pesos OR NO DRIVE TO THE AIRPORT.
- the pictures are of the damaged tire and the agent pointing to the dirt (they are on an unpaved road) he wiped off showing a "black spot" which is damage
Do yourself a favour and stay away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst car rental service I had in my life. AVOID. Sketchy, 0 valid arguments and 0 customer service, whatever $ they can get from you they will. I got a car in terrible conditions (check picture, there isn't a single space in the inspection sheet where there isn't a mark). No matter what problem you have with the car, the rental "company" will say that you accepted it the way it was so you can't complain and any issues you may have after accepting the keys, it will be charged against the client. My case? after accepting the car (engine running and keys inside) I drove to Tulum, left the car and 2 days later when I wanted to use it again, I noticed the keys are twisted/cracked. I didn't want to insert the keys due the risk of getting stuck inside the ignition. Even when I offered them to grab a duplicate of the key between Cancun and Tulum they were unclear on a possible solution. So they took a whole day between different chat messages (WhatsApp) to tell me a locksmith will go to my place to "fix" the issue. But it will be charged to my account ($250 USD). THere is nothing you can do but to accept (EVEN IF YOU HAD EVERY INSURANCE POSSIBLE... because keys are not covered). So I told them I needed this fixed and to keep for the record that I didn't agree on the charge. When I complained they conveniently shared only the part of the conversation where they say I agreed without even mentioning the second part of the conversation where I explicitly said I didn't agree on that charge and I had to continue with my trip. While I waited for help I found out a locksmith is not more than $50-70, because what he did was only create a copy of the key. The locksmith and later on a mechanic of the area, also told me THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN to a future client because the locks of the car are old and broken. When I returned the car and I asked me to show me the duplicate of the key, and of course they couldn't provide it. Prove that problems with the key happened already. This is a SCAM ready to find the next driver. A Key prone to be broken by the condition of the car and being stranded forced you to proceed with the excessive charge by this company. Their argument was that I should have called them immediately after I saw the problem and that's what I did but they still didn't answer to my complain. In addition I couldn't use the car for one whole day and had to change my plans. To make things even better, when I returned the car there was another couple of French girls complaining why they were being charged over $400 USD for a scratch smaller than a coin and the car rental company said that that's what they charge and the car they had was new. For sure they will fix that car the next morning -sarcasm-. Don't get scammed. Just go with the regular Hertz, Avis, etc. and make sure the car is in good condition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pésima experiencia. Please avoid at all costs!!! They are using the excuse of necessitating a credit card able to cover a minimum of US$7000 guarantee. I did have that credit card (I even called my bank on the spot to confirm) but their machines are set up to refuse the transaction anyway so that they can impose a US$300 ADDITIONAL CHARGE of insurance. The other options they offer: Cancel the reservation, go back to the airport and find another car rental and forget about any reimbursement! It's one thing to pay a low price for a terrible quality car. But being forced to pay US$300 ADDITIONAL CHARGE for a completely different car than what you reserved online is bordering malpractice.
