Rentadora Med Prez - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

I was going to give them 3/5 stars since one of our two helmets was broken. But then they made us wait a nerve wracking half hour to get our deposit back since none of the employees had it. They told us it would just be 5 minutes and wouldn't give us a straight answer a half hour later after the place was closed - apparently the owner had to drive it back to hand it to us. I don't understand how you legally can rent a vehicle and not have the deposit on site. The whole thing seemed super shady, and would have been a big problem if we had a flight or ferry to catch. My advice is don't rent here if you can help it - and if you do, be careful!!!

Scammers and also scooters are not in a good condition, you will definitely find a better place to rent a scooter.

Rented a scooter from this place for 2 days. The rental experience started off great with the lady who helped me. However, when I returned the scooter an hour ahead of schedule, there was a guy that tried to charge me for “frontal damage” to the scooter ?. I took a napkin and wiped said “damage” turns out it was BUG JUICE. After explaining this to him he still insisted on trying to charge me AND request I help him purchase a Diet Coke. The nerve of this MF. FAUWK this place and whoever owns it, y’all are littered with SCAMMERS on this island. If you treated customers with the same decorum you do your residents, you’d be surprised at the level of reciprocity from visitors. #DoBetter

I rented bicycles from this place. Flexible and fun!

The scooters we have rented were in good condition and the price was reasonable (300 mxn/day). The problems started when we were returning the scooters. They were trying to intimidate us and additionally charge us for various things. Non-existent scratches, missing petrol even though we returned the bikes with more petrol than we got them with. Even for having some SAND on the bikes!! Threatening to charge the credit card we gave them for deposit. Scammers, stay away. Don't give them your credit card details unless you want them to charge you an arbitrary amount after you leave the island.

We had bad experience with this rental agency. This Rental agency was not our first option but we were brought here by employee of a different Rental agency we had good experience with before (unfortunately they didn’t have scooters available). Signal lights did not work at all, tachometer was broken and we didn’t feel safe riding it - very old scooter. We do not recommend this Rental agency at all!!

Avoid the place! They are cheating, and lying. We have rented two scooters for 24h, they gave me broken helmet and I asked them to change it, the guy told me I can “tie it”. Finally after discussing they change it but all the helmets were in very bad conditions, they were moving on the head, we were scared to touch them that they will broke. We left the place and asked them to give back bikes two hours later that we supposed to, they wanted to count us 50% of the price of the day, so we finally gave it back on time to avoid of charging us the crazy amount, however they accused us that we lost the key to the locker we have never received, they have insulted my friend that tried to explain them. There are not educated, and trying to cheat you on whatever… if you want a economic place don’t go there because even they rent you cheaper they are searching for any reason and lying in order to charge you for something.
