Restaurant Juanita's - 82100 Mazatlán

We give the food 4 stars and restaurant 3 stars because it was a little dirty. Food was tasty and inexpensive.

The taste of the food is great, is cheaper and a good place to take a lunch, but the wrong part of it is that they need more organization they lost the order and don't have control of what group of persons get first at the place and some times you get your food very lately.

Yes, I clipped this from Rob E' review (seen below) !! "Try their tortilla soup or their torta especial (Special Mexican sandwich) " Yes right up to our last visit ('04) that is what I would have for lunch (usually if arriving too late back in the neighbourhood) from a morning self tour of el Centro/PlazaM'/NidArt), and recommend to others passing by or wondering what was good ;-) We would also go there for supper as a wkly treat, and enjoy other full meal items off the menu ! Which also included their Liver and Onions meal a couple times per yrly visit. And recommended this restaurant to anyone who was lookin' for a family run, safe place to eat !! I presume the kids who helped their parents serve patrons back then are in their 30s now ! I wonder if the same family still runs this restaurant. ? Also one of the last places to source and serve 'Sangria' Very very thirst quenching (i called it a low carbonated dr pepper) Which I could sometimes source for the fridge back in the hotel room, from the mercado 2 doors away from Juanita's !! Cold Pepsi light maybe coca and decent scrambled eggs too early for fish but a stopping place on the way to la Cocina Diana and then the internet Mazatlan for the noon to 1:00 happy hour and the Chiquita banana drinks

Great place. This is wonderful little restaurant, the prices are very reasonable, the portions are decent and the food is consistently good. No, make that very good. Every time we come down to Mazatlan, we always eat at Juanita's multiple times. Try their tortilla soup or their torta especial (Special Mexican sandwich). We love it and cannot wait to eat there again.

Very small little hole in the wall with tasty cheap breakfast faire. Coffee will be instant crystals with hot water, but the food in really good and simple.

My girlfriend and I were in Mazatlan in early February 2022 for a week, and we ended up coming here for breakfast on one of those days. It was a funny experience because the outgoing individual who sat us and gave us our menus did not work there. He was just a regular who wanted to help them, and help us at the same time. The food was awesome, the coffee was good and strong, and the weather was amazing. Jesse Ortez you were great and I appreciated talking to you that morning! I would recommend coming here for breakfast!
