★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an outdoor Mexican restaurant. Surprisingly, they do not have a free bowl of chips and queso, which is rare. There weren't many vegetarian options, so we had to settle for a quesadilla. It's a decent place with decent food. If you don't know Spanish, please make sure your Google Translate is ready.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ tasty authentic Mexican food. The place is run by a family with 3 women cooking in the back. It always has locals in it . No atmoshphere or music , just good home-made dishes. They mainly speak spanish. The menu is on the billboard in the front . Yummy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it here, super nice atmosphere, patio and the owner was very nice and sat down to talk to me for a bit, told me the history of the place... They’ve been on for 40 years and they offer delicious home made food. Simple but delicious and you can feel it’s home food. Got the chile relleno, an empanada with cheese, and a delicious soup. Totally worth it and will go back when I am in Cancun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome family run restaurant we found.
The giant mango tree in front was blooming and has plenty of ripen mangoes.
We came here around 6pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy. We ordered the Tamale Oaxaquenos, Pozole verde, and Tampiquena.
We never had Oaxaca tamale before but this tasted good! The tamale is like twice the size of the tamale you normally get.
The pozole was flavorful, slightly thicker broth compared to the pozole verde we had before. It’s very good though.
The Tampiquena came with grilled beef and also one chicken enchilada topped with mole. They are very good too.
Highly recommend you visit this restaurant if you are in downtown near to ADO bus terminal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pozole was delicious and comes with "botana" (side dishes). They have other options for Mexican food in a very traditional fashion. It's a small rural oasis just a few steps from ADO bus station. At the entrance you're welcomed by a huge mango tree and a sing that says "Since 1980" which is a lot for a young city like Cancun. Menu is varied with tamales, salutes, tacos and other Mexican dishes. They have their small memories corner with some historic photos of Cancun. Attention is not fast, so come here with some time to spare.
