Very authentic, consistent quality, and a lovely vibe. My husband is from Tierra Caliente and we live here in Morelia. I recommend this place unreservedly for anyone who wants to experience the unique cuisine of Tierra Caliente while in downtown Morelia. The pork frito and Aporreado are very traditional.

I really enjoyed my dish. And my wife said hers was good. There was a error in communication and we got a chicken fillet instead of a chicken quesadilla for one of my daughters. But the service was absolutely phenomenal. One of the servers realized that we spoke very little spanish and he came and talked to us in english! And he was very good at english. We were not only very surprised because we do not ever expect someone to try to talk to us in english as we are in Mexico where everyone speaks spanish. But we were also very impressed by the servers ability he seemed to struggle and repeatedly apologized for not being better at speaking a foreign to him language! We would definitely recommend anyone going to eat here. The food is good. But the service is GREAT!

My steak was average but my wife’s mojarra fish was poor, tasted earthy, and she didn’t eat it. Fortunately we were not charged for the fish. The local has seen better days and needs redecorating and a good clean.

No pictures. Very good restaurant. Tasty food and good coffee. (Café de Olla have refills, not the American ☕).

Breakfast egg platter was great. Cafe Americano done right. Service was a little slow, my only complaint.

The food is OK, but a bit pricey compared to other nicer restaurants that also serve traditional Mexican fare. The problem was the service. We had to wait a bit over an hour for our meal, while sitting in really uncomfortable chairs, and when we finally got our food it was cold.

Delicious Morelia style enchiladas - a bit like a mix of regular enchiladas and lasagne (with apologies to Mexico and Italy), with salad. The salsas and cheese with the nachos were amazing. Only small negative: chicken added is just a leg, and not super fresh tasting. Cute comfortable indoor dining, with airy window seats
