★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the hotel and this place was our favorite place to get breakfast . I love love love the coffee . We felt it was so smooth, delicious , yet milder coffee than the others we tried at numerous bakeries/coffee shops . I could drink several cups ! The waiters are excellent and so kind , just always a lovely experience . Also loved the fruit platter and basket of bread .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely overpriced for what you get. For instance, I ordered memelitas with egg, which cost 115 pesos. They weren't even prepared like memelitas should be - no handmade masa base, just tortillas. They also had no red or green sauce on top. A basic cup of coffee cost 45 pesos, when that would typically be no more than 30 pesos elsewhere. The service was good, but we wouldn't come back here when there are so many better restaurants around Oaxaca.
Edit: I'm glad to be informed that the caged birds are being rescued/rehabilitated, not just caged as pets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is nice and cozy. They serve a good tamal oaxaqueño. The prices are affordable and it's very good located, just a block away of the zócalo. The central patio is very nice, with many plants, so if you want to escape for a bit of the heat of the street this is also a good choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the two best menú del día paquetes in El Centro I've encountered. A salad with cherry tomatoes; pasta with poblano sauce; and chicken breast wrapped in bacon in a mustard sauce. Topped off with a crepe a la mode. All for 125 pesos. Great service, pleasing atmosphere. I'll be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful, amazing, beautiful, delicious, warm, welcoming, peaceful, hospitable.
The mushroom fettuccini, bread, breadsticks, avocado, mango juice, cheese spreads were fantastic and the waiter was adorable.
The athmosphere is dreamy and sunshine infused with birds in and out of cages. The decore was artisanal and traditional.
Ate a lot of delicious food for only 384.00 pesos plus tip.
