I loved to have a chat with the owners about Tulum (They are originally from here )and also this was the best guacamole I had in Tulum! A must visit!

How often do you find a little mom and pop taco stand with a menu curated by a world class chef? Look no further the ingredients are local and fresh, the menu is easy to understand and unpretentious yet, there is a special something in the attention to detail they put into each dish. The quality of each dish is only exceeded by the pleasant any attentive staff checking in on you and ensuring everything is perfect.

I was particularly blown away be their homemade salsa, I had to take some to go. Exceptional! Thank you Choca staff, you made our mellow night one that we won’t forget. :)

Located a block off of the main downtown street in Tulum, the quality and quantity of food prepared by the chef/owner is authentic and delicious. The owner/chef prepared fresh caught fish of the day for me (not on the menu) and everything we tried during various visits was fresh, delicious and staff friendly (we stayed a few steps away at Don Diego de la selva which is also highly recommended). Delicious Margaritas, Tequila shots, chicken tacos and fresh guacamole all at reasonable prices (especially compared to other main street & beach road restaurants).
