Acogidas bajo la sombra de árboles centenarios del viejo Paseo Hidalgo con el Rio de San Francisco como testigo, nacieron las tradicionales “Chalupas Poblanas” preparadas con tortilla de maíz, salsa roja o verde, cebolla picadita y carne de cerdo deshebrada, bañadas con manteca hirviendo, dándole un color pintoresco y sugerente al paladar, que degustaban los poblanos a principios del siglo XX. “CHALUPAS POBLANAS” que únicamente en este lugar y por generación de familia en familia desde Severina Méndez, la primera chalupera, se disfrutan hasta nuestros días con el sazón único del “Paseo de San Francisco”

Las medidas sanitarias usuales de la pandemia, temperatura y gel al entrar.
Las mesas están separadas y cuando fui, el local estaba ocupado en un 40%
El estacionamiento sobre la calle enfrente, parece seguro

The menu includes the famous chalupitas, mole, pipián and other classic Puebla snacks.

The tables are separated and when I went, the place was 40% occupied

Very good attention and service. The mole enchiladas with rice and the roast beef, good. The prices are affordable. The setting is adequate and they have existed since 1903

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves local mexican dishes. What I ordered tasted realy yummy. We got a starter meal like tacos and four sources. The server was very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our dish, just 15 minutes I think. I recommend this restaurant when you look for local dishes.
