Entorno espectacular donde se avistan muchos tipos de aves etc.
Muy recomendable.
 A magnificent tour. It has been a pleasure to get to know Rio Lagartos and its surroundings at the hands of Henry and his uncle Roberto. They explain everything with great care and respect for the environment, promoting sustainable tourism.
Spectacular environment where many types of birds etc. can be seen.
Highly recommended.

Once the price of the tour is agreed on, you can never say “You paid too little to see the flamingos from up close” once the spot is reached and then ask for more money.
Not to mention the guide didn’t take us into the mangrove, on the mud beach and cenote - all the places that were mentioned as the stops of the tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After agreeing on the price and starting the tour the guide took us very far away from flamingos stating 1) the boat can't come closer because it's too shallow 2) several boats that we saw up close will scare the flamingos (they didn't) 3) we didn't pay enough (another/higher option wasn't even offered). When we started the tour we were excited and prepared a couple houndred pesos as a tip which remained in our pocket due to this unprofessional and not transparent behaviour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Henry and the entire team at Rio Lagartos Xplore were absolutely wonderful, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife and mangroves. This is the best experience you can have at Rio Lagartos with a local, sustainable tour provider. The business runs mangrove cleaning and reforestation campaigns which are essential for the survival of the local wildlife. We had a great time observing the alligators, pink flamingos and birds on this beautiful corner of Yucatan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Early in the morning at 5.30 am we started our boat trip with captain Jose. An amazing experience. We recommend you to do it also. We saw a lot of species of birds and also crocodiles, the salt lakes were also beautiful.
