★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great experience that I was suspicious of before hand as it seemed like a tourist trap. In many ways it sorta is but it's also totally worth it. You explore breathtaking water caves, something I'm sure almost nobody has done before. The guide (we had George) was great. The water is not too cold (I've been in much colder pools) but you are down there a long time so there's no reason not to take a wet suit unless you're very used to being in water for a long time.
Also the groups are small which is nice, less than 10 people.
The photo thing is annoying for sure but they are right that anything you took with your GoPro won't turn out so it's better just to leave it. On the other hand the photos they take aren't all that good either. They're a bit blurry and they cost $20 per image.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful excursion from our cruise. Miguel was a great tour guide and pointed out many fossils and features in the caves. Definitely recommend, even for my two children it was a blast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing sights. Walking through a cave with a paved trail, then repelling through a hole in the ground into a cave, biking, hiking and swimming through a wet cave, this place is incredible! Down side is that it's overly commercial, pictures are limited to the photographer and then 25$ each. Most of our pictures came out bad. I really wish we could have just brought in my phone. Food was also not the greatest but I wasn't there for the food. It was really great and I'd recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went in a group of 12 and felt we were there by ourselves. We spent probably 1.5 hours in the cave and clear water. Needed life jacket a few times.
Sara was a fun tour guide with dad jokes. We enjoyed everything, food was fair. Bummer no photos, but I liked it helped us enjoy the experience. Paid about $76/ person

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome, but stay away from buying the pictures!
Almost everything was outstanding!
We loved the whole tour, our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable.
Both places, Rio Secreto and Tulum are totally worth to be seen, offering breathtaking views.
Rio Secreto gives you the chance to do something unique and very different from other caves.
It is family friendly, our 8 years old loved it! Don't be afraid to bring your kids there.
Tulum offers amazing scenic views, a very wonderful place where to take some cool selfies :) - or family pictures.
Only downside, and strongly recommended, is NOT to pay the pictures from the photographer at Rio Secreto. Most of the pictures were blurry and unfortunately there is no a real good way to see well those before you paid for them.
But other than that I strongly recommend the package Rio Secreto + Tulum, especially if the weather is a bit cloudy and chilly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was amazing. The natural feel is spectacular. I was able to go on my tour with ATV Jungle Tours. It was a great experience. Our guide took photos for us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was surely amazing experience. We had purple line which was pretty challenging and I think can be done if you are kind of sportive, in a way that walking was difficult in some moments and holes you needed to pass were very small and narrow. But we liked it. Probably older people, or kids or not fit bodies should do another line. Our guide Leslie was very friendly.
Only what turned totally down the experience was the price of the pictures. You can’t take your own so you have to pay them either 25USD on each pic or whole set (20pic) for 100USD!! That is outrageous and insane price! And you get them online not on the paper. It’s really a rip off :-(.
