Went there on a family vacation. They were pros and cons. PROS: We were given a junior suite, because they had overbooked the standard rooms. The room had a mini kitchen, with microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, sink and dishware. The refrigerator was stocked with mini Coronas, Pepsi products, and bottled water. Comfortable bed, nice view, cold AC. - we booked in all-inclusive package, so all meals, drinks and spirits were included. - the pool area was conveniently located, they had a swim-up bar, and multiple mini restaurants throughout the hotel strip. - if you didn't want to stay at the pool you could just walk down to the beach. They also had a large jacuzzi. I would recommend this hotel for families. CONS: my only complaint was, and I'm not sure if it was just the individual, or if it was several of the staff members, but since a covid test was required to travel back to the US, I spoke to a woman at the front desk who gave me false information about when the tests would be administered. I was told that I had to schedule the test. Which was false. Also that it would take 48 hours for the results. Which was also false. It only took 24 hours. The test would be administered in the morning, and then the following morning at 6:00 a.m. the results would be in. Other than that the staff was extremely courteous and helpful.

Booked this hotel for an anniversary trip with my husband. Was indecisive at first due to some of the reviews. This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Right up on the beach. Pool overlooking the beach. ALL of the staff was so kind to us and very helpful and knowledgeable. Fernando met us at the doors upon arrival and departure. Front desk staff was always generous and answered any questions. The man that works the sushi bar was awesome! Maria, our maid, cleaned up and always had fresh towels for us. Misrain, our waiter at one of the hotel restaurants was amazing and very friendly. We had the best time! We will definitely be back the next time we visit Cancun!

My stay was amazing. The staff was amazing & super friendly. Everything was super clean. The staff had masks on & followed protocol at all times. They were amazing with getting us tours & transportation & tons of local tips. Aannnnndddd the food, chefs kiss! I mean, it was so good. The pools are heated. You get to use the resort Caribe next door at no extra cost. I got there 3 hours before check in time, they look my luggage, gave me a bracelet and gave me full access

The resort was very small. Too many people staying there, not enough space. We had a hard time finding a spot by the pool each day, people started “reserving” tables with their belongings because there were no poolside loungers, and then you had nowhere to eat by the buffet because the tables were taken up by peoples belongings. The information on their website, along with the QR codes they give you for resort information, is all out of date and the times for everything are wrong. Breakfast is not served prior to 7am so if you leave for an excursion at 7 you will not get to eat (you can order room service but it’s lunch/dinner food. They do not serve breakfast food prior to 7am). When we checked in they did not have a king size bed for us (what we reserved when we booked) so we had to sleep in a room with 2 double beds and then change rooms in the middle of the day the next day. The rooms are SMALL, like, smaller than a hotel room, definitely not resort quality. Would not stay here again

Awesome resort, me and my family go every year and the service is amazing, as are the shows they put on every night. Their kids club is entertaining, and my brother LOVED it. The food is pretty good, and there are tons of restaurants to pick from, as well as food bars by the pool. The beach is gorgeous, but if you go in the winter, there is some seaweed. Overall, a great place to stay, highly recommend!

This hotel was by no means bad. Some of the food in the main building was decent and some of the staff were friendly. The evening shows were great and although the beach right in front of the hotel sucked, a ten minute walk on the beach will get you to a very calm bay. My room was clean and bed comfortable, for a tip the room service will make you a towel animal. The walls of the hotel contain no sound, so that I could hear everything going on in the hallway and neighboring rooms. For no additional charge you can go kayaking across the road from the hotel. There is also a tennis court and a mini golf course. Some of the food presented was absolutely delicious, but I got food poisoning the last day I was there, so be careful with what you eat. Overall, Royal Solaris is a decent hotel with plenty of things to do, decent food, and plenty of places to rest.P.S.If you choose to stay here and want a quieter place to rest I recommend going to the leftmost point of the hotel, near the hot tub.

The staff is super friendly, especially Mike, Paulina, and Alexis!! They kept us entertained all week and felt like new friends. The atmosphere is great and we had a great time however, the constant cigarette smoking at the pool and on the beach chairs right next to the resort is ridiculous, it ruins the pool for many especially those who have kids. If you don’t enjoy cigarettes definitely won’t be able to fully enjoy the outside amenities. I find it incredibly rude of guests too. It would be nice for the resort to not allow cigarette smoking, especially around the pool.

While my friends and I had a lot of fun at the pool and listening to their live music in the lobby, overall this is not a great hotel. The walls are paper thin and the floors are not carpeted so you can hear EVERYTHING in the halls and the rooms around you. We were woken up everyday at 6 am due to screaming children and loud parents in the room next door. The only good thing on any of the restaurants’ menu are their soups. Everything else was dry and or lacking in flavor. The drinks at their bars are also really disappointing. Every cocktail I ordered tasted like flavored syrup. Everything closed at 11 pm so no late night drinking with friends unless you bring your own alcohol. Room service takes over an hour each time. Our room did not have a do not disturb sign and we asked 5 separate times for one to no avail. The staff is not very accommodating and has convoluted protocols for certain things. For example, you can only make reservations at their restaurants for the next 48 hours and you have to stand in a long line in the lobby for about 40 minutes and it can only be between 9:30 and 3 pm. So for our long stay, we had to make this line 3 times so that we wouldn’t have to keep eating at their buffet where food is stale and simply does not taste good. They have activities at the pool which are entertaining at times but very loud so if you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation this is not the place.
