★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't stop for the people that jump in front of your car as soon as you turn! They want you to park in their parking lot. Just keep driving. They will get out of the way.... eventually...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drive straight in, past all the guys trying to wave you down under the pretence that they are an “information centre”. The actual car park is down at the end on the right and costs 100 pesos for the day. Ask the car park attendant to give you a ticket to prove that you’ve paid. Then, you’ll walk 5 mins to the ruins where you’ll pay 80 pesos for entry. You can say no gracias to all of the other people offering “information” but who are really hoping to sell you something.
The actual car park was fine and affordable so I could have given it 4 stars. I’m only giving 2 stars because of all the unnecessary confusion and stress when you first arrive and are looking for the actual car park. It makes you doubt who to trust.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you arrive at the car park drive straight down and turn right into the official car park. Ignore the pushy and scary people trying to sell you things and pretend that they’re parking officials. Be adamant that you know where you’re going or say you’re following the car in front and they will eventually leave you alone. I was literally driving with one guy slapping the bonnet to stop but thank God I read previous reviews so just IGNORE!!
Good car park and we paid 100MXN. Inside the official car park you’ll still get people trying to sell you tours/boat ride but that’s up to you. We didn’t take it and decided to walk 5mins down to the main ticket entrance (85MXN) and entrance to the beach is free and 20mins walk from ruins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very confusing place. Some say the parking lot is government owned, some say it is private. We have two toddlers so just paid money and took the spot which is closer. The walk to the ruins is maybe 10-15 min walk, if you want to save money just walk.
You can also bargain with the parking lot management.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watch out for aggressive parking scammers telling you that you cant drive further to the parking lot in order to get you use their parking. Just follow the sign that says "estacionamiento". Paid 100 pesos to park for the day. Otherwise great site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the good car park. Drive all the way to the end and to the right at the big blue sign that says "estacionamiento". Don't follow any people who try to wave you over to another parking along the way. The price is 100 pesos for the whole day. The people in the blue shirts will help you explain everything and you can buy tickets for the archeological site and a boat trip with snorkeling with turtles and manta rays.
