We have been vacationing in Puerto Morelos for 20+ years, always renting someone's house or condo. Last year we decided to look at what was available to buy. We met with Kim and spent a day looking at available properties-all amazing but not quite right. Fast forward a few months...While I was in Minnesota at our home, cruising Facebook, I happened to see a live showing of a home being shown by Kim. I watched. I knew. That was our house! We worked with Kim via long distance...We didn't see our home in person until we came down to close! We trusted Kim's knowledge and expertise. Her guidance was spot on. A few hiccups along the way getting all the ducks in a row, but we did it! We came for a week to close in December and returned in February to spend our first winter in our new home. Are we happy? We are soooo happy. We are busy making it our own and enjoying every minute. Thank you Run Away Realty!

My wife, Kathy and I are retired teachers from Texas and decided to live another of life's adventures in Puerto Morelos in 2020. After much researching online, we contacted Kim at Run Away Realty to purchase a property, VIRTUALLY! The steps and timeline of the buying process, in Mexico, was totally explained in either conversations, emails, or messages. We made our permanent move to Puerto Morelos in 2020 in the midst of the Covid -19 pandemic. In spite of the world coming to a halt, Kim & Gabriel made our house hunting an adventure. Once we found our "Piece of Paradise" and we started the purchase - the banks in Mexico stopped issuing Fideicomisos as they were restructuring their department. We did not know how long the issuing of Fideicomisos would be halted, the long Christmas holiday was approaching quickly too. Was a nail biter but everything aligned just before the end of the year. We can laugh about it now ! It was not a smooth journey due to circumstances beyond our control but Kim & Gabriel were with us in our journey every step of the way. Answered all our questions and if they couldn't they got the answer. We now have a beautiful home and wonderful friends in Kim & Gabriel !!!!

My husband and I fell in love with Puerto Morelos while on vacation. Run Away Realty was recommended to us by the host at the Airbnb where we stayed. When we arrived back home, I contacted Run Away Realty and got in touch with founder Kim Tempel. She was very kind and thorough with every question that we had. We communicated via email and Zoom meetings, and she was able to send us properties that were on the market and in our price range. I had my heart set at being in the seaside village part of Puerto Morelos, but we really kept an open mind and am glad that we did. She encouraged us to look beyond the seaside village, which was the correct move in the end. During this time, Kim and her newly added team member and fellow realtor, Keith Smith, held a series of informational sessions on moving to Puerto Morelos that took place once a week for about 5-6 weeks, I believe. I attended the online informational sessions and gained a wealth of knowledge via this form of education. I would highly encourage anyone that is even thinking about buying property in Mexico to attend these sessions when they offer them. Their YouTube channel also has many informational videos that are beneficial to understanding how the process works. Shortly after, my husband and I made plans to make a trip to Mexico to look at properties. When we arrived, Kim was unable to show us properties due to circumstances that were out of her control, but luckily, her counterpart Keith Smith stepped in, and we made plans to look at a few properties during the course of a couple of days. We looked at lots and houses, but nothing that really compelled us to make an offer on. The day after leaving Puerto Morelos to return home, Keith made us aware of a couple of lots that had gone on the market that day in Puntarena. These lots were adjacent to one another and backed up to the botanical gardens in a beautiful gated community. We made an offer and negotiated with the owner. Needless to say, we came to an agreement and have now closed on those lots. We plan on building in the future. Keith really facilitated this process for us and was absolutely wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Run Away Realty to anyone that is thinking about buying in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Kim and her team are highly knowledgeable with years of experience, and will make sure that every i is dotted and every t is crossed from start to finish. They are great with explaining the process, answering questions, calming nerves, and just plain good people. We want to thank Kim and Keith and the entire team at Run Away Realty for helping make our dream of owning property in the Mexican Caribbean a reality. We had an amazing experience purchasing our Puerto Morelos condo with Keith from Runaway Realty. It was an overwhelming decision since we had not bought any real estate in over 30 years much less in a foreign country! Keith was with us every step of the way, calmly explaining the process, reassuring us that things were going according to the way things happen in Mexico and being a resource about so many things above and beyond the sale. Prior to our making an offer to purchase Keith was honest about the difference in purchasing in Mexico and did not sugar coat that it may take a while to get things done. I can’t say enough about Keith’s amazing help when purchasing our condo in Puerto Morelos. He was so helpful and provided us with all of the information we needed to make this process so easy. Keith was always prompt to answer our questions. I’m sure some were silly, but he always answered them graciously. As my husband could not attend in person on possession date, Keith researched and guided us through the steps to obtain a power of attorney. At first it seemed overwhelming but in the end it was a rather simple process thanks to him. I highly recommend Keith at Runaway Realty. He is such a professional and efficient realtor. Also a big thanks to Kim and Gabriel for guiding us through possession date and helping make our day so much fun.
