★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La estación del metro San Lázaro se encuentra en la orilla oriente del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México. La he incluido en estas crónicas de carácter turístico como un sitio de interés hablando de la historia de la arquitectura moderna de la Ciudad de México. En 1969 se inaugura la Línea 1 del Metro y con ello se entregan también cuatro techumbres proyectadas por el arquitecto Español - Mexicano, Félix Candela. Incluyo la vista interna de esta estación por la noche. A casi 50 años de su construcción, su hermosa modernidad y propuesta es incuestionable y forma parte de ese momento luminoso en la arquitectura mexicana cobró fama mundial, cuando se desarrollaron cientos de proyectos de techumbres de cascaron de concreto, heperboles paraboloides y paraguas invertidos como los de algunas gasolineras que aún sobreviven en diversas poblaciones de México. Esta techumbre en forma de estrella con picos tiene esa importancia junto con las techumbres de acceso a las estaciones de Candelaria, Merced y Balderas. Además los alrededores de la estación de San Lázaro son igualmente interesantes, pudiendo visitarse a pie desde aquí lugares como, la antigua Cárcel de Lecumberri, los murales de Montuy en la delegación Venustiano Carranza, la Estación de Autobuses Tapo, obra de Juan Diaz Infante, así como el Palacio Legislativo, obra de Pedro Ramírez Vázquez y el Palacio de Justicia, obra de Teodoro González de León.  The San Lázaro metro station is located on the eastern shore of the Historic Center of Mexico City. I have included it in these chronicles of a tourist nature as a site of interest talking about the history of modern architecture in Mexico City. In 1969, Line 1 of the Metro was inaugurated and four roofs designed by the Spanish-Mexican architect, Félix Candela, were also delivered. We include the internal view of this station at night. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estación muy pero muy concurrida, debido a la gran cantidad de conexiones que tiene tanto de línea 1, como línea B, así como 2 líneas de metrobús, aunado con la terminal de autobuses TAPO, por las mañanas, noches y en época vacacional un total caos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ El día de hoy 1ero de marzo del 2020 los policías en turno me golpearon y me hicieron la famosa china según ellos por andar molestando a las señoritas del vagón siendo que siempre después del trabajo tomo la misma ruta dese hace 9 años para regresar a mi casa siendo un habitante digno representante y respetado miembro de la sociedad como un guía turístico en la plaza Garibaldi se violen mis derechos y sea golpeado y robado por la seguridad que el San Lázaro ofrece es un insulto a la sociedad, no sabemos cuantas personas an Sido víctimas de este atropello de autoridad y aún así hacen de las suyas que repugnante es sentirse protegido por aquellos que te van a robar.
Por favor hagan algo ante estás estás situa es un llamada de atencional gobierno de la CDMX y si necesitan pruebas o testimonios los espero el MUTEM museo del tequila y el mezcal!

Tiene conexiones con las estaciones y paradas de diversos sistemas de transporte, líneas de la 4 y 5 del Metrobús.
La estación cuenta con un CETRAM.
Al lado de la estación se ubica la Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Oriente (TAPO) desde donde parten corridas regulares a las ciudades del interior de la República Mexicana.
En horas más concurridas, es mejor ir con tiempo, ya que las líneas se saturan y se puede esperar varios trenes para abordar
