Legit old school Mexican house. Very calm area for Sayulita. Perfect distance from the plaza and the beach. Right up the street from the towns best coffee shop.

Well, you start, the house and the room are lovely. Terry, the host, is a friendly and easygoing innkeeper. A 2 minute walk to the Playa, and close to anything you might need:) I would happily give this place 4 stars if not for a few annoyances. Annoyances that are completely out of the innkeepers control, but definitely wish we had have known. Firstly, there is construction directly across from the house, very loud builders spraying cement and banging sheet metal around from 7 am on. There is an array of VERY loud barking dogs surrounding the house, and a collection of roosters that wakes up when roosters do... so if you need to sleep in this place is not for you. The outdoor shower is neat, but the water options are cold and cold. There is an on demand hot water tank, but it either didn't work or came out like lava. So, iceberg or magma, your choice. My pal and I shared the room, and it was a little small for 2 grown girls. A couple would be happy here, and it suited us just fine. There is a beautiful patio that your rooms opens onto and a great breeze through the room all day. I would stay here again, I would ask for the Seahorse Palapa however, it is off the street and a little more private. Samantha the cat was a lovely addition to our stay. She is shy at first but loves to chat and have her face rubbed.

Had a rad time at Casa Buena Onda this October! Situated within close walking distance from town and the surf beach. Great open air building and lots of space to feel like home for a bit. Jenna was a great host too :) Can't wait to get back to Sayulita!

We (myself, hubby and 10 yr old son) stumbled across Casa Buena Onda by pure accident once we arrived in Sayulita this September. Luckily it was low season and they had a room for us! Fantastic hosts (they live on the main floor) and 2 great guest rooms on the second floor, and a rooftop palapa for morning coffee or evening beers. Made great friends with the other guest too.... Shared basic kitchen and bathrooms...everything open air to take advantage of the beauty of the place! Very clean and very well maintained...very thoughtfully set-up. Thank you Terry for accommodating us!!! We'll be back!

Perfect location close to the plaza. Clean rooms, great pool and super nice hosts. Lots of places to sit and enjoy food and bevies.
