Literally the worst hotel experience we have ever had. There are so many wonderful places in Mexico to stay with wonderful hosts. This is NOT one of them. The amenities are not as listed. You are NOT 15 minutes walk from the town, more like 25 mins with a steep incline. You need to rent a buggy from somewhere in the town to get around as its difficult to get a taxi that can find its way to this place. The staff were unspeakably rude.

We stayed here last week. While it's not perfect, it was a wonderful place. The breakfast was different every day and was cooked just for us. The view was excellent. The rooms, while a bit worn, were comfortable. The walk into town isn't for everyone (about 5 minutes all down hill to Playa Los Muertos and another 10 to the city center) but we did it nearly twice a day all week and survived. The hardest part of the walk was the last 100 steps straight up once you were back in the gate. Overall a great view in a quiet location and you can escape from the town and relax.

This place is unfortunately an example of somewhere that looks great online and is a disappointment. I'm very selective with views, the view is typically the #1 thing I look for in a room while on vacation. The views siete lunas has on the various hotel booking sites (expedia/booking/orbitz) show a deck in front of the room completely unobstructed from trees. The truth is that only one room(the master suite) out of 7 has an unobstructed view. This would be fine if it showed the correct views from each room selection page. Instead of having a specific room description with accurate photos of each room, amenities and view, they only have 2 listings, one for a queen room which shows the view from(you guessed it) the master suite. The king doesn't even show pictures. I have stayed at far less "luxurious" places with specific pictures that do not mislead the customer. When we arrived the gates were locked and I called their number listed on google(disconnected number) then had to honk the rental car horn to get someone's attention. I didn't really pick up on it in the moment but it just had a sketchy vibe, the chef/bartender, the manager, the random guy helping who was better dressed than the manager(I thought the helper could have been the owner). They were evidently expecting another couple who had rented the master suite and the staff seemed unimpressed by our arrival as paying customers since we were only staying 1 night. They proceeded to show us the smallest room with the most obstructed view. There were no other guests and their first option was to give us the worst room even despite us reserving a full price booking through orbitz($220). Regarding the room: Room was small and the view was certainly nice, however...was it the stunning unobstructed view and large expansive room as advertised? Very far from it. They tried to show us other rooms but literally all the 6 cabins except for the one "master suite" have obstructed views. The manager proceeded to argue with me and blame it on the booking sites. I didn't buy it for a second. Purposefully misleading advertising at best. If other hotels manage to accurately describe and photograph their rooms I find any excuse for a hotel that has been around for 7 years to be just that...an excuse. It is obviously a ploy to get people to book by showing their most beautiful room which you will be very unlikely to get and will have to pay extra for. We weren't even given that option because they had another couple in the master suite for a week. Didn't care about our business. The manager then proceeded to get aggressive and tell me those are the best views. When I told him I wanted to see the master suite to prove him wrong he refused. We both knew what was going on and I told him he was straight up lying to me. He told me if I didn't like it we could leave. The whole place gave off a sketchy vibe. Chef seemed like a little kid, completely unprofessional, asked if I wanted a coke and handed me a can like it was a motel 6 express. We ended up leaving. There's a reason this place is not on airbnb and their listings that do exist on hotel booking sites lack any specific guarantees to ensure you are arriving to the room you expected. This is 2021, eight year old children can run better businesses and online presences with accuracy and transparency better than this. If you don't mind obstructed views and no protection from ambient temp along with poor showers (read from other reviews) noise problems from bars in town, and lack of protection from animals and bugs, then I suppose forking up $200 plus/night for a view wouldn't be the end of your world if you don't have a better option, but it wasn't for me, especially after they treated me like an idiot and they offered me no discount and flat out lied to my face saying they showed me the best views, which photos right from their booking platforms contradicted. Completely dishonorable people who run this place. I wouldn't stay here for free.

First of all, I might have given this property a higher score had it not been for the fact that on the first night all of our cash and jewelry was stolen. Security should be the highest priority and unfortunately this property lacks adequate staff presence to protect guest rooms from entry. A hole in the fence and folding doors on the balcony provide easy access. Conveniently, there was no camera with a view of the far side of the property leaving the Master Suite completely vulnerable to entry via the balcony. I would like to believe the Manager who indicated that no previous guests had experienced theft, but it was too obvious that the 'rats' had created a well worn path and likely have been accessing the Master Suite for some time. I would also like to believe that no other members of staff had conspired with the rats, bit only the police report and phone records will tell us for sure. The fact that we had just arrived and left the room for only 2 hours means that either the rats are constantly watching or they were notified of the opportunity. Sadly, I now appreciate that many of the other sub-par reviews were mostly accurate and that Customer Service, menu options, and management are mostly lacking. I wanted to love this place! The views are very good, and the bungalos are comfortable. However, guest secuirty and safety should be the priority, and I cannot recommend anyone stay at Siete Lunas and specifically the Master Suite until the rat problem is fixed. I will update this review with further details once I read the final police report or hear back from the property. I requested the owner be notified of the theft, however to date the owner of the property has never responded. Enough said. Update: 5/28/2021 Thank you for those who have shared your similar stories, it really seems like Mexico has a theft (rat) problem right now! Also we have still not received a notice that the police report is complete? And no contact or update from the owner : (

Absolutely beautiful, but I would have to agree with the review about the safety in the king suite. The balcony doors are not safe at all. If someone wanted, they could easily break in. I tried it myself to see. Also, they give you a drink on arrival. Very kind. However, I do not drink alcohol. I asked for a juice instead thinking it would be a fresh juice. Nope. Watched them pour me a glass of boxed Jumex. Come on. There’s local produce on every corner. Also, there’s a poor excuse of continental breakfast. Looks cute but not even enough for a child. They cut up some fruit very nicely but the slices of strawberries are probably equivalent to one strawberry, and then that’s between two people. If you’re only there for the view I’d recommend it. Don’t waste more money eating here.

Terrible hotel for the price, I wish I've read the reviews here (instead of booking.com) before going. Can confirm what other reviews say - old, dirty, and a steep far walk to the city on the dirty road, that gets pitch black at night. WiFi is spotty. Tried to charge for a breakfast, even though it was included.

Service was good but given the price I expected excellent service. Nice view, cute rooms and pool.

Do not go here! Dirty and rip off! I have never had such a bad hotel experience in my life. Do not go here. Four of us (two couples) traveled here for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We booked the Kingszie category twice but were given a queen size room and were told there was no difference except for the bed. Unfortunately this was absolutely not true, the room had no proper balcony monks and was in a run down condition. The worst thing was that the mosquito net, which is quite justified in a jungle hotel, was absolutely filthy. We called the hotel manager, who completely downplayed the matter (see photos). The bedding was absolutely disgusting and dirty! A- See pictures attached. After the boss of the hotel came and said that the hotel was completely booked she offered us to pay us the full amount back (I had already paid by credit card) The unfriendly hotel assistant said they would do it right away and we went to another hotel. But unfortunately, the money was not transferred and we had to go two days again in the jungle. Apparently, the hotel was then transferred back to my credit card. After two weeks, the money was still not on my account, after countless Whats App messages; mails and phone calls I got a partial amount back and they told me they would not transfer the rest, because that would be the Booking.com fee. The hotel had indicated here that we have not arrived. An absolute impudence the photos attached prove that we were there! I am currently with Booking. com in contact and try for weeks to get the rest back. Do not go here, the service is outrageous and you are treated condescendingly despite the high price. I have never experienced anything like this.
