For me it was the perfect spot to finish my holidays, after one intense week of cave and cavern diving. Drivers, take care. The road is challenging. No problem for guys from the countryside, but expect some bumps. ?
I	Ignacio Andres Silva Urzúa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect hotel. Rooms are feet away from the ocean. The view from the room is just breathtaking. The beach is well maintained. This hotel is just 7 km from Punta Allen (30 minutes due to the road). The only thing that could be better is the Wifi. Regardless of this, the hotel is a peaceful and authentic experience.
D	David Loper on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in there for lunch which was really quite good and so was the service. Right up until I got the bill. The prices were right but there was a 15% tax added on. I spoke with the waiter who was very nice and provided very good service. I informed him that adding a tax was illegal as all prices in Mexico must include the tax. He then said it was basically s 15% tip added onto the bill. I informed him that was also illegal. Now, normally I give a 20% tip but if they only want 15 that is up to them. This is a business or managerial fail not a staff fail. It preys on tourist. They hope that people will pay the bill and still add on the tip. They absolutely know that it is an illegal practice.
Z	Zen Tenkara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fished with Pesca Maya which is based out of this resort. Also ate breakfast and lunches here. Very pretty location, incredible fishing and guides and ghe food was awesome.

After a very beautiful and sometimes a bit challenging drive of approximately 1,5 from Tulum, we arrived just after dawn. The staff immediately made us feel welcome, helped us unpacking and cooked a simple but very tasty diner for us. Surrounded by the vast mangrove jungle of Sian Ka'an and with a pearl white private beach, the hotel is situated heavenly. Our room was spotless, the staff professional and warm, the amenities excellent and the prices very much value for money. I feel I must recommend this petite and lovely resort, but actually I would love to keep this our hidden gem and come back as many times as we possibly can in the same 'tranquilo' state...
L	Leo Knoertzer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow service is the only reason to drop one star. We waited about an hour for most of our food and cocktail orders, even though there were very few guests. It felt like this might not be the usual full time staff? That said, the place is magical, a haven of beauty and pristine beaches, away from the madness of Tulum. The room was huge and comfortable, the cocktails were very good and the food was tasty (delicious guac, decent main courses). We were able to rent kayak from nearby provider and discovered the mangroves behind the hotel. The road to reach the hotel is - as advertised - very bumpy. It took us three hours from Tulum, averaging 10-15km/h. But that's part of the adventure!
R	Roberto Dinelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How to spend a few days in a place that still seems unspoilt by tourism? Sol Caribe is exactly that. Of course you will need an SUV to drive the 35 km of dirt road with many holes, maybe even some off road experience to get to this place. There is no phone coverage, Wi-Fi is very limited and the rooms are comfortable but basic. But you come here to get away from it all and experience something like 50-60 years ago, when travelling was still a rare experience and people didn't look for comfort but for adventure.
