It turns our that one of the artists is Jacobo & Maria Angeles. They have works in museums! There were other artists there with exceptional quality as well. Unlike the tequila store that ripped us off even with haggling there was no negotiating in this store and after looking up prices for these pieces we felt it was a good price. We purchased a medium size Jacobo & Maria Angeles owl and it was worth every penny. Thank you.

Overheard them going the extra mile for a customer who wanted to see more work of a specific artist they carry. Someone was to come in with more stock from their storage facility. Unfortunately for me they only had one Mata Ortiz pot left and I wouldn't get a large one.

Very pleased with purchases, was my go to shop while in Playa Del Carmen and met many shoppers that had the knowledge of how sophisticated their products were who also purchased. Highly recommend if you are shopping and undecided, to keep items in your hands as many customers come in and buy quickly. Take your time to look around as some prices are higher than others, and there are many pieces that are similar however less expensive. Note, items sell fast in this shop. Take your time to shop and decide as you may return shortly and items will have sold, just a recommendation based on seeing this first hand, and experiencing as well.

Their main focus is monochrome and multicolor Otomi embroidery, Tree of Life sculptures, and alebrijes, as well as some ceramics and other crafts. They have both expensive, high-end works of art as well as smaller, more affordable souvenirs. The employees are friendly, helpful, and not pushy.
