Sonoran Sky Resort - 83550 Puerto Peñasco

Great resort, lots of pools and one swim up bar, great views of the ocean at every room. Fun place, 4 hours from Phoenix can't go wrong, a must go to destination!

Great view. Rooms are nice. Unfortunately when we were there it was raining and electricity went off. I wouldn't recommend visiting Puerto Peñasco during winter months or when it's rainy. The resort has a nice pool area and restaurant near by. Also a gym, a spa (did not visit) and a local store in the lobby where you can purchase food & drinks.

Sonoran sky is a lovely hi-rise resort right on Sandy Beach. Our suite for 4 was fully equipped to cook for yourself or explore a restaurant' there, nearby, or in the town. The Beach is beautiful, staff is helpful and friendly. They have a shop for forgotten essentials. The only negative is an almost overpowering wind tunnel in the lobby as you walk out to the beach.

Great service, gorgeous views, decent Ambience, however the food was not great. Lacked seasoning, and what ever seasoning the did have they used for EVERY single dish.if you like Mole don't order it from here, the pipián tasted like Mole, which also wasn't good. It was a very Americanized experience. If you want traditional/authentic Mexican restaurant experience, don't go here to eat. Resort overall was great, amazing pools and beach available.

Beautiful location. Beautiful accommodations with plenty of room for 7 adults. Lots of granite tile throughout. Excellent balcony with plenty of space a BBQ grill. Awesome pool and hot tubs. Very nice!! Place is fully stocked. Just add your own groceries. Restaurant was pretty good. The only thing I wish they had was unsweetened iced tea. Not a fan of the instant mix or bottled beverage.

Beautiful five-star resort, excellent accommodations, friendly and very helpful staff. This is a well run organization, starting with the receptionist, truly amazing young lady. Beautiful place with excellent amenities, heated swimming pools with swim up bar, clean beach. What more could one ask for? I highly recommend the Sonoran Sky Resort, my wife and I will be back. Condo 908 Beautiful Five Star Condo, nicely appointed, complete with everything you need, exceptionally neat and clean. We have stayed in a number of various locations over the past 10 years, this is by far the best! Great showers, with plenty of hot water. We will be back.

This was our first time staying at this resort. The only negative experience we had was at check in. The front desk clerk was very short and rude with us. He didn’t explain where we could park or where anything was in the resort. Besides that our stay was great and we would stay here again. We really enjoyed having a restaurant and a bar that served food as well on the property. We normally stay at the Esmeralda which is a lot nicer but they don’t have a restaurant on property. Just a friendly suggestion for Casago….. It would be nice if there was a better selection of kitchen utensils for people that want to cook as well as possibly working on the hot water issue. The hot water in 1005 only lasts long enough for one person to take a hot shower. These issues are not a deal breaker for us returning but would be nice.

Outstanding! A fun weekend getaway. They even had trailer lots next door to the Sonoran Sky. I've heard this place referred to as LA (lower Arizona). The room we had was #905. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, and the beach view was wonderful. We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed the scenery and the sun immensely. The people were all very friendly, and for a couple of gringos, we didn't have too much difficulty communicating. American money is widely accepted, as are credit cards. The only problem with credit cards is that some places will not allow you to add a tip to the bill, which means cash tips only. We did find a couple of exceptions to this, however. If you like looking at shells, this place is loaded. When the tide goes out, you can walk out a couple hundred yards beyond the beach and find all different kinds, and even hermit crabs walking along the beach.and at night the tide pools are fun to look at with a light and see live animals swimming along. The roads in Mexico do leave a lot of room for improvement, so it is a must to keep watch for potholes, some of which were 6 inches deep! The food was good, the activities were plentiful, from banana boats to paragliding or fishing to scuba diving.
