Spearfishing Today | Cozumel - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

If I had more time in Cozumel I would've done another trip. The guide was an awesome instructor and helped you reload the gun since he could do it in a matter of seconds. He also gave you your catch and a card for a restaurant that would cook up the fish for you.

After a week of cruising and cruise excursions we were happy to be back in Cozumel to relax for a week on our own time. During that week a booked a trip (my 5th!) with spearfishing Today. As with previous trips, it was great. Fun, exhilarating times *hunting* for fish, being mesmerized by the reefs and wrecks and enjoying watching Anibal our guide and other tourists dive down. This is an amazing and easy trip if you are staying at the a resort, however these small (2 to 6 people?) group trips are sooo much better than the other Cozumel cruise excursions and if you don't like the herding of hundreds of people, and the watered down trips associated with typical cruise excursions, I expect you'll enjoy this. After shooting my triggerfish I switched to diving with my camera and had just as much fun. The fish we shot was prepared for us that night by our hotel and tasted amazing, a welcome bonus and great way to re-live the day! I do this every time we visit. Spearfishing Today is SO organized and always is the highlight of my trip! I highly recommend it!

Our experience with Spearfishing Today was fabulous ! We used Spearfishing Today in Cozumel. Our son is interested in free diving and spearfishing. So, we have used this service twice and both times Spearfishing Today has done a great job. The setup of the appointment was easy to do. With being in the states I was a bit nervous to set it up but Leo was amazing and very helpful in setting up the appointment both times. The company uses Paypal so that was very helpful and smooth as well. The guide we had was Pamela and she was amazing both times and very talented and patient with our 15 year old son. We felt the whole time safety was their first priority. The first time our son went out he didn't catch anything but had a great time and experience to remember for a lifetime. The second time our son went he caught 4 trigger fish ! The company made cerviche and then cleaned and filleted the trigger fish for us and our resort cooked them for us. The meal was super yummy and our son was so excited ! What a memory for him. I wish I could give a rating higher than 5 stars because I sure would. Thank you for making the experience one our son will always remember ! See you next year !!!!

Great time with Diego and the captain Diego was very knowledgeable and did a great job making everyone feel comfortable. Our first stop was around 20 ft where he wanted to see our abilities after a couple of minutes he handed me a gun and said have fun. He asked if I was ok with him spending extra time with my buddy who needed alot of work. I ended up shooting 6 triggers before we went looking for bigger stuff. Didn't see anything to shoot but the water was awesome. I have been spearfishing for 15 yrs and would recommend this to everyone even guys like my buddy who have never done it....he was really nervous by the way but Diego made him comfortable and he can't wait to go again.....Also for the negative reviews it's called fishing not catching sometimes it happens.The only thing wewe c ask for is the best opportunity to give us the best chances.... These guys are great at what they do and take my word for it you will not regret your decision..

I am very disappointed with the customer service. I started communicating with them in June about my trip to Cozumel August 1 - 4. I said I was flexible about either Friday or Saturday. I was quoted a price and told they have availability both days. I didn't receive a link to make a deposit and I got the impression I could pay later. As the date got closer I heard nothing back. I got to Cozumel and heard nothing back until on Friday afternoon, after stressing all morning and multiple attempts to contact Spearfishing Today I found out there is no availability during my trip. ARE YOU KIDDING?! I REALLY didn't want to be that guy writing the angry review because things didn't go his way. I feel especially frustrated because with better communication things would have been more favorable. I don't know, it's like maybe because I'm just one guy my business is not that important, since ST apparently has all the customers they want. I'm relocating to Playa Del Carmen where the competition for my business is better.

Such a blast. I honestly didn’t think I would even be able to hold my breath long enough to do it but Diego was very thorough with explaining how to work everything. The captain knows where all the spots are and I spear fished (with help) a barricuda. I’ve done the cenotes, whale sharks, this was probably the coolest thing out of all three. Definitely for adrenaline junkies and people who love the water. Super nice crew, but missed the ferry and would’ve had to wait for three hours alone but Diego went above and beyond and stayed with me which I am super grateful for. It was an excellent experience and I had the boat all to myself !!!! Management was also super helpful as the ferry times were off on the way there as well.

Great experience, extremely professional crew. Overall, Diego was great at navigating the current and always put us on the fish. If you're hunting something specific be sure to communicate prior to booking as not all species are fishable throughout the year. For first timers I would however recommend a saltwater free diving course.
