Jose was personable, fun and knowledgeable! We went with a group of about 10 people and had such a great time! Not only did we get the chance to surf, we also got to spend quality time as a family on a secluded beach where we could explore and lay out. We can’t wait to go back and do it again!

Our family was fortunate enough to have Jose from Surfing Puerto Vallarta guide us on a trip to a secluded beach in PV and give 15 of us surfing lessons. Besides the surfing lessons, the experience was an incredible. Hiking through a jungle-like sanctuary to get to what was like a private beach break. We spent hours on the beach, surfing, tanning, taking pictures, and had a couple adult beverages. Hey, we were on vacation! Jose also let us know of some fantastic restaurants, and he showed us a little bit of the town that only a local could. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. Thank you Jose and Surfing Puerto Vallarta!

At Puerto Vallarta Surfing School I had so much fun during my first class! What I liked most about this class, as I have taken other surf lessons in the past, but to me, feeling safe always comes first. I felt safe and good in the water at all times having these instructors around. Puerto Vallarta Surfing is an awesome surf school and they are great local tour guides as well knowing where to go for fun surfing lessons, so that the beach is not too crowded either and I the local lunch was great, too! I had an incredible day in the water with these Puerto Vallarta Surfing coaches!

Jose was amazing! He took 10 of us to a beautiful secluded area for the day. He was extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. Our group had 4 adults and 6 young adults. It was not only the perfect spot for surfing but we also had a beautiful beach to explore and the girls loved the selfies they took on the rocks by the shore! I had a wonderful day surfing with Pepe's help. Picked me up, drove us to a great spot for my skill level, and did all the heavy lifting to make sure I had as much surf time as I could handle. As a teacher myself, I really appreciated his grasp of where I was in my journey and his clear, constructive feedback. If I'm ever back in PV, I'll definitely be reaching out again!

Emailed Jose and signed my son up for a 3 hour private lesson, 45 min travel time both ways, hotel pick up at 930am and drop off at 2pm with Fernando as the instructor. We arrived at the beach and were told it was a 2 hour lesson, and it was no longer private as Fernando's partner was also receiving instruction (which resulted in a big fight between them, and her sulking under a tree for 30 minutes). After 80 minutes it became a 90 minute lesson. I said we booked for 3 hours but Fernando now said that included travel time (the confirmation email, website, and the math say differently). I emailed Jose outlining the day and stated I would pay for 50% of the lesson as that is what my son received. Jose had no response other than he would await the Paypal payment. I don't know if this is a scam or just a poor work ethic. I also wonder if the previous reviews were fake. Overall, this felt like a company run by teenagers looking to make some easy money.

Great experience with Pepe. He picked us up from our hotel right when he said he would. We had another guest along for the adventure and Pepe was an awesome guide, telling us about the area as we drove through. Very cool going on a little jungle hike to get to the beach and when we got there, let me tell you, it was a little slice of paradise. We got there early enough to have most of the beach to ourselves. Don’t eat a lot before as my husband got a little sick on the waves, seasickness. Pepe was quick to make sure we were all good the whole time. He even took us to a little family restaurant where the ceviche and fish tacos were freshly caught and made.
