Hace algunas décadas en un pequeño local sobre Av. México antes de Av. Chapultepec, un joven taquero
proveniente de Arándas Jalisco llegó a Guadalajara ofreciendo una variedad de tacos poco común en la ciudad.
Tacos de carnitas de cerdo y lonches de pierna tipo telera formaba el menú en sus inicios. Dejando más adelante
lugar sólo para los tacos y posteriormente añadiendo tacos de pastor y de bistec.
El día de hoy después de dos taquerías más y haber añadido mayor variedad en su menú, Tacos México y
Tacos Providencia se han consolidado como una de las mejores taquerías de la ciudad y del país.
Prestigio, tradición, servicio, cultura de la higiene y una calidad insuperable han caracterizado a estas taquerías.
La visión de ese joven taquero se ha visto labrada en todas y cada una de sus taquerías. Demostrando que aún
sigue siendo un apasionado de la cocina, el buen sazón, la limpieza y una alta calidad de los insumos y productos

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place quite possibly has some of the best tacos I have ever had and that is saying something because I have had tacos my entire life, good and bad and everything in between.
The al pastor was delicious, lengua was awesome and served in a very unique way, all my life it has been chopped and dice but this time it was served as a slice and I thought that was awesome. The buche was definitely the best i have ever had. Great selection of beverages and beers.
The service was incredible and fast they are constantly cleaning your table which is a must for tacos.
Overall a definite must if you are in the southern part of Guadalajara

If you’ve been to the original location in Providencia, I believe it is on par in terms of quality. Apart from flavor, there’s also the fact that it’s a very clean place whose ingredients I believe you can trust. Overall, my go-to place for tacos

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Based on the tacos originally opened in Providencia colony in Guadalajara, this is their 3rd tacos restaurant franchise. In my opinion is one of the best places in the Metropolitan area where you can find great variety of traditional tacos made of meat from cow or pig. The major difference from popular street tacos stands is the fact the meat used is high quality, but mainly less greasy, or more "light". Another difference is also the time these tacos are open during daylight and night, when traditional stands only open at night. I mentioned before, highly recommended. Give them a try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must in GDL. Tacos Provi La Rioja is a successful second location of the original Tacos Providencia. They have lots of variety of taco fillings and salsas. Their most popular are asada (i prefer peinecillo), lengua and cachete. They are well served and very clean. Service is good and fast. Value is pricier than your favourite corner taco stand, but the price is worth it for the convenience and higiene.
