★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skip the touristy spots and head to Tacos y Pastas. It’s one block off the Main Street, with street parking. The owner makes fresh pasta and it was excellent. The kids had pasta with marinara and it was the most they had eaten since arriving in Mexico. We also had a vegetarian pasta dish and pasta Bolognese. It’s all about those fresh noodles! They don’t have a lot of drinks to offer, but there is a tienda on the corner for drinks. Eat here to experience an evening with the locals. ????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great humble, family owned location. We initially came by based on our Airbnb hosts recommendation and liked it so much we came back a 2nd time. Funny enough we saw a repeat customer that night as well. Both the tacos and pasta are worth a stop for dine in or carryout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if you stay in akumal make sure to visit Luis and Marisol for the ultimate Mexican street meal....you will love the safe food and service, as for prices I thought they made a mistake so I tipped very well...just so cheap...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hidden gem is some of the best food I have had here.This place is located on a corner it almost looks like someones home with maybe a few tables outside to sit. Most people get takeout. The prices are great compared to what places charge in the touristy areas.I had three tacos gringas and the aioli pasta. I could eat here every night and be Happy! Not to mention the owner is so kind!
