★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A historically castrated theater showing an outstanding mural as facade which has saved it from totally disappear. However due to its history and location it still shows very good seasonal plays. Anyhow, it's a nice place to gaze from inside and outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is old and smelly and it doesn’t have enough emergency exits. The only pro is that it is a small venue so the stage is close to all the seats. The lobby is nice but the theatre itself would benefit from a renewal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful theatre, not too big, so you're bound to see the actors just fine. They usually have great plays. You can park on the mall next door of you don't want to leave the car with the valet. They have a small cafeteria and candy shop, with alcoholic beverages, coffee and sodas available. Ticket prices vary, depending on the show, but it's usually not cheap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent theater. Last time I visited this landmark was 30 years ago.
They've done a nice job preserving it. I saw Daniela Romo in Hello Dolly and the production is very good. A full Broadway show properly presented. The Teatro Insurgentes proved to be a great venue for such standards. Congratulations to all involved in the maintenance and operation of this Grand theatre.
