★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the Temazcal because it was suggested as a unique and healing experience. Since I had a sudden cause of death in my direct environment I feel psychically damaged and hurt. I haven't had any espectations before since ususally I'm not a spiritual person.
But it was really mindblowing and afterwards I felt washed, kind of reborn and a little reliefed.
And I was told to get answers someday. And I did: Right after the temasczal I was visited in my dreams.
After the procedure which lasted 1 1/2 hours itself we were served delious drinks and fruit.
Thank you very much, Jonathan and Meike?! for translating. I will come back the next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed the ancestral healing tonight. Wow, very cool to appreciate the culture! There are some uncomfortable times,, you sit on a hard floor through it (so at our age had some challenges), but appreciated understanding more of their culture and being a part of it. Wonderful people. Provide nice light snacks following. Only preference would have been improved interruption or ability of historian to speak English. No regrets! Glad we did it! There is a massage table as well, didn't partake, but was in a professional setting.

The guides were very authentic and humble in continuing the work of there ancestors and sharing this with us. We highly highly recommend, there is a wonderful experience and delicious refreshments after the ceremony. Thankyou very much!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really unique experience that we ended up loving trying. Excellent hosts, guide and translator they paid extra attention to everyone's health and comfort. We had a great group that kept things a little light at times but there were some deep emotional moments for some people too. Perfect level of heat/discomfort in the "womb" that worked for everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Temazcal was outstanding experience. The place is cozy and well taken care of, truly an oasis in bustling Playa del Carmen. Jonathan our spiritual guide was outstanding, striking a great balance between introspection and keeping things light enough to enjoy the experience. It felt cleansing and refreshing for both body and mind. Afterwards they served delicious fresh cut fruit, Jamaica water and guacamole - overall a great experience, can highly recommend!

I am so happy to have found this place and would love to participate in the ceremonia again my next time through . .it was absolutely worth a Ferry ride from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen for it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I flew from Toronto to experience the Temazcal here. Jonathan and Raul greeted us so warmly and educated us in their indigenous practices. The experience was unbelievable, it helped me heal some deep wounds. We had a private session and had some delicious guacamole and fruits towards the end of our treatment. I had side by side massages with two great therapists who put us to sleep like a baby. Such a beautiful unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to be back. I recommend everyone to try Temazcal here.

Everyone involved with the ceremony was amazing.
Our translator was such a sweet soul. Our Fire Eagle was very kind. The Shaman's right-hand man was very passionate and... last but not least pur Shaman. He was amazing! The ceremony/ritual moved us to the core.
Seeing as this was uncharted territory for both my husband and I, we were very grateful for the step by step explanation of what was going to happen and why.
We highly recommend this experience. Above that, we highly recommend spending time with them and getting to know their stories/histories. It is quite moving and powerful.
6 stars if we could!!!
