Since we entered the place it was something spectacular, it is a magical place not only because of where it is located, but also because of the people who attend this place, the artists are very accessible, friendly and passionate about their work. They gave us a demonstration of the process of their works, and everything was incredible, from step 1 to the end. I learned a lot and it was very educational, the dyeing process of the pieces, all totally natural. Incredible patience, passion for what they do, too kind. Highly recommended.

After the explanation, in short, the master craftsman tells that one of his pieces is in Santa Fe, USA, another, if not bad memory, in the National Museum of Anthropology here in Mexico and in other large centers, if anyone knows more about him and his work it would be amazing if you shared information. The quality of his work is indisputable. I was amazed, there are some pieces (of which it is not allowed to take a photo) that I hope I can return to when I reach them.

One of the few artisans still using natural tints and ancient techniques. Really recommend paying a visit, they’ll give you a walk through of how they make their beautiful rugs and other textiles, and then you can buy one for a very reasonable price, considering the quality.

Great place to learn about the art weaving using all-natural dyes.

Beautiful art work made in tapestry. The explanation from how the wool is collected and how the colors are prepared and the demonstration in the "telar" is amazing. Everything following the zapoteco roots and designs according to all this idea and new modern ones too not loosing the Mexican base. Lovely
