The Bliss at Vidanta Riviera Maya - 77710 Cancún

Enjoyed a week here in a suite. Beautiful view, short walk to restaurants, the pool, and shopping. Stove and kitchen made staying in easy when ready to get out of the heat or for sleeping in the next day.

The only thing this place has going for it is the wonderful staff. The mgmt does not care about you or your vacation, only about how much more $$$ they can squeeze out of you on the over inflated food and drink prices. You must put a recommended $500-$1000 hold on your cc because the have a "no cash" policy, they also do not inform you of a 3% service charge on all food and beverages, i.e. mandatory tipping. I always tip 20% to MY server in cash but this bs mandatory tipping charge is BS and screws the employees into selling you more not providing good service. Oh and did I mention the mysterious resort fees charged per person per day and "donation" charge that shows up on your bill? Its bad enough you get jumped by timeshare sales people poseing as concierge to "help" you and show you around. It's only to get you to a presentation. Finally, there were loud construction crews from 7 am to 11PM!!! Right outside our window. I'm sorry but after planning this trip for 2 years listening to a bulldozer, hammering and a backup beeper after 10pm is just more than I can take. This place is an oversized and overpriced cruise ship from which there is no escape. Did I mention they make it extremely difficult for you to leave unless you book on of their tours? Seriously......the drinks are not strong enough to put up with this BS for a week. I cant wait to leave. Here's a pic of the view from my room taken at 10pm. I wish it had volume.

Great staff. Very clean. Nothing fancy and too far away from everything.

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The entire resort is clean and the people are amazing. The staff and the attention to detail at this place is 5 star. Download the resort app it lets you know all of the events that are happening around the resort daily. One very important note make sure you have someone at the resort how and where to use the trolly/bus system, you will get lost or be standing around for a long time.

rooms are nice. lots of walking. dont bring a car. the entire place is tiled, so a little noisy. gr8 location if you are playing golf, not so much for pools/ beach. staff are very nice. on site store has a good selection and reasonable prices so no need to stop for groceries on the way. beaches are a little disappointing, rocky and dirty, but pools are nice.

Had a accident. Grand ma fell off the cart. That was being driven by a drunk. She hit a tree and almost died. Never again will I go there. They even wanted us to sign a do not sue paperwork. .

Excellent lodging, daily housekeeping, a little dated, exceptionally clean. A long walk (15 minutes) to the pool...The trolley is a 2 minute walk.

Watch your valuables! We just finished a stay in the Grand Luxxe Residence. Accommodations were wonderful….but…. On day 2, my wife’s Bose Sleep Buds disappeared. Gave the resort the benefit of the doubt and chocked it up to getting caught up in linens… kept checking daily with concierge to see if they turned up in lost and found or laundry… to no avail. Finally, the night before we left security showed to fill out a report. They asked to inspect the room (we should have followed them around) because after they left, my wife’s ring was missing. Her grandmother’s wedding ring! But don’t worry… when we reported this, the same security guards arrived to reinspect. We informed management, filled out another report and were told we’d be contacted…. Still waiting… No matter how nice it appears, be careful and guard your valuables. Update 1: They said that they would investigate. No resolution. Be careful and don’t bring ANYTHING of value to this resort. By looking through the other reviews, it appears it’s a regular problem. This was the LAST time we will visit.
