The Custom Tour by Rod Ratner - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Wonderful tour! We were taken care of from start to finish by our guide Claire & driver Diego. Loved every minute!

From start to finish, this is a fabulous tour group. Rod is extremely helpful and his crew is friendly and well knowledgeable. We have used this tour company twice and do not plan to use anyone else when we go to Playa del Carmen.

I booked the Chichen Itza Deluxe Tour with The Custom Tour for my group of 12. We traveled during Thanksgiving week 2021. Our group comprised of three families with adults, teens, and young children. It was all of our first times traveling to Cancun so I wanted to find a private tour for my large group. Booking with them through their website was easy and they were very quick to communicate via email. Leading up to the tour, we had some travel delays, but after updating Rod and their team of our situation, they were very accommodating. Kat was our guide and Pepe was our driver. Kat was informative during our guided walk of Chichen Itza and also accommodating of our last minute concerns and needs. Pepe was a great driver and got us to our destinations swiftly and safely. Marveling at the ruins at Chichen Itza and learning more about the history of Mayan culture and the way life might have been like at the time was very interesting. Kat took photos during our entire tour and later shared them via Google. A plus for our group as we LOVE photos. On our way to Cenote Samaal, we requested a stop for some fresh coconut water. They were quick to find a vendor on the side of the road. Pepe also got out and helped cut the coconuts for the 12 of us. Very impressed with his initiative and helpfulness. The coconuts were so refreshing after walking around in the sun at Chichen Itza! Admission, locker access, life jackets, and lunch were provided for us at Cenote Samaal. Everyone in our group enjoyed swimming in the cenote. The lunch buffet was a favorite among the adults in our group as we got to get a taste of Yucatan cuisine. There was something for everyone on this tour and I would highly recommend this company to anyone traveling to Cancun and wanting to get more than just a tour of Chichen Itza, but an experience of what the Yucatan area has to offer. We will definitely be touring with them again when we’re back for our next Cancun adventure!

We just completed a day trip with The Custom Tour and it was absolutely perfect. We requested a custom made itinerary between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and they absolutely delivered. The guided tour of chichen itza was perfect. Kat the tour guide was delightful and so knowledgeable of the history. All in all probably one of our best experience in Mexico. 10/10 absolutely worth the money. Great attention to details, great restaurant recommendation, a perfect experience.

Our experience was AMAZING!! So so so fun and we will definitely be going again in the summer! Kat was our tour guide and Benjamin was our driver and they were the best. They were so sweet throughout the whole day of adventuring. We were picked up from our hotel to make everything easier, then taken first to go swimming at sunrise with turtles! This was so fun and we got so close to the turtles in their natural habitat! We then went to the Mayan ruins in Tulum which was so interesting and beautiful. Kat was so knowledgeable and we had so much fun learning all about the Mayan culture. Our next stop was ziplining, canoeing, and swimming in the cenotes which was fun, exciting, and so refreshing. We finished off the day with a delicious Mayan lunch. Overall, the day was so amazing. We also got our pictures from the day very quickly and they came out beautifully. We will definitely be booking again and will recommend this tour to EVERYONE!!! Thank you Custom Tour for a perfect day and extra thank you to Kat and Benjamin for making our day so special!!! :)

We loved this tour! Our group of 11 people ranging in age from 15-75 had a great day with Kat and Benjamin. We toured the coba ruins on bicycle, so fun and informative, even the teenage boys enjoyed it and then had a beautiful lunch by the ocean! We finished our day exploring Kats favorite cenote. Kat and Benjamin were awesome guides, the day was very well planned, we seemed to beat the crowds everywhere. I was also very impressed with Rods communication, he was on top of everything very quickly and made the tour easy to plan and change as needed. It was our favorite group activity on vacation. Do it, you won’t regret it!

The Custom Tour “My Snorkel Tour” was the highlight of our week in Mexico. Kat and Diego took care of all the details. They were both very knowledgeable and it felt like a day out with friends. We never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed each stop. Kat took pictures throughout the tour so we could focus on what we were experiencing rather than documenting it. The cenotes were beautiful and refreshing with so many unique formations, plants, and wildlife. The sea turtle visit was at a crowded park but Kat navigated through it easily making it feel more private for us. The lagoon was full of beautiful fish. Lunch was delicious and had a beautiful view. We could not have asked for anything better. Thanks for a fabulous day!

The private tour to Chichen Itza and cenote was absolutely amazing. Being in the van with just the tour guide (Kat) and driver (Benjamin) was so peaceful. it was early so my bf was able to sleep and i got to talk with Kat about some of the things going on in the area. Getting to Chichen Itza early is key, we were able to get so many photos without people in the background which was awesome. the fact that they take the photos and send them to you is also a huge plus. 1000% i would book a tour with them again, and would absolutely tell friends and family that this tour is worth it.
