All inclusive option was great! The food was always excellent, and so were the drinks. The employees were all very friendly and took good care of you. The all inclusive option does say gratuity is included, and you do not HAVE to tip. That being said tips are accepted and even expected. Cash is preferred so have either Pesos or Dollars available in smaller denominations. 10-15% was generally considered a good tip. Also be warned they do target married couples for a timeshare presentation, so if you don't want to go just say so right in the beginning.

We had such a good time but I dropped my phone in the water! Wish I had pictures of the place but I can tell you that everything is new and very luxurious. The all inclusive experience was not only affordable but really nice and carefree. All the staff was more than helpful! The view was amazing and it was really nice to be able to just walk right down to the beach and feel safe. This is a great place to spend a relaxing vacation yet still close enough to many attractions. We will go again and I highly recommend this to anyone

I personally love everything about this resort! Very efficient check-in, quick tour and show of the property, amazing room! The 1 bedroom suite is very spacious, beautifully decorated, and good quality materials. Granite bathroom countertops, and amazing quality toiletries. Fluffy, immaculate white towels, and the most comfortable bed, and pillows! There is a kitchen in the room, and the terrace is huge, and fully equipped. Housekeeping always does a great job, and requests can be done via Whatsapp. Very sophisticated plates, and cocktails, good quality wines. Fancy beach furniture, incredible view from the rooftop pool / restaurant. Upon booking, do focus on the amount of great reviews about the place, and give them the chance to prove that they are doing their best to make your stay memorable; I have seen the desire to make the customer happy every time I've encountered an employee, I promise!

I spent my birthday here and had a amazing time!! Gym, spa, rooftop pool, beach, two restaurants onsite, live music, good drinks and a wonderful environment!! I stayed in the 1-bedroom penthouse - WOW!! Private rooftop with a hot tub and views of the ocean! Highly recommend the upgrade to the 6th floor. The rooms had a few fixes but the staff came right away to attend to issues. The only downside is the staff is constantly "selling" something which made it a little uncomfortable interacting with them. It is definitely a trip I'll do again (in hopes that time the fixes both items mentioned will improve). Solid 4 star review ??

This place is definitely not an all inclusive. When you at thousands of dollars up front you don’t expect to have a bill at the end. Why is there a bar there that isn’t included in the all-inclusive? They charge for room service and for cleaning the beach daily. There are only 2 restaurants and 2 bars. The longest wait for food ever. The beach was full of seaweed so we weren’t able to enjoy it. Please please please don’t get scammed into taking the Covid test at the hotel. It’s $35 and they don’t even actually complete your test. Just send you a form telling you that you’re negative. So yes, you will get back home but you’ll find out when you get there and take an actual test that you are positive. This happened to multiple people on my trip.

I want to start by saying that this was my second time staying at the property in 2022. We first stayed the first week of January 2022, and went back for my birthday the first week of April 2022. I had several issues on this recent visit. For starters the property showed signs of wear and tear and lack of proper maintenance. When we arrived we noticed broken tiles left on the walkway to the pool/beach, these tiles had broken off the wall and were just left there! Not aesthetically pleasing and no one seemed to care about anyone stepping on them especially with bare feet coming out the pool. When we arrived to our room and took some time to enjoy the balcony water was splashing down heavily from the floor above. When I called I was told it was probably someone’s hot tub overflowing but nothing was done to accommodate us or help stop the water.l which was disappointing because we didn’t want to be constantly splashed on while sitting out there. We also experienced a water leak in the hallway of our floor that spread from a puddle to a pond over the next few days. We also experienced fumes in the entire hallway that irritated my cousins asthma as the hotel maintenance had SPRAY PAINTED a door INSIDE the hallway area, spraying toxic fumes into the hallway with NO VENTILATION! Now that I have addressed the maintenance issues let’s discuss the hotels apathetic attitude and lack of attentiveness and customer service. We stayed from a Monday evening to an Friday morning. The hotel was nowhere near capacity and the staff didn’t even have very many people to serve or help, however they were slow, inattentive, and many times simply ignored us when we asked for help or service. I had to go get a manager just to get one of the beach guys to move an umbrella for us after asking him over 3 times. While on the beach no one acknowledged us for hours and never asked if we would like to order anything. The same slow service was given on the rooftop, where during a sales presentation for their VIP Club the waiter totally forgot my cousins order after bringing my food and then acted as if he never took her order and he couldn’t remember her order but everyone else at the table could. When spending this type of money and staying at this level of hotel you expect to receive excellent service and not have to “work” for everything while on vacation! There was a grave difference in the service we received from our trip in January! My boyfriend was upset he even booked it again for my birthday and appalled by their lack of attentiveness. Nothing special was ever done in the room or at any of my meals I had at the hotel to acknowledge my birthday or show appreciation for my return visit! I’ve stayed at properties all over Mexico and that is something traditionally that has always been acknowledged! One of the days at the beach there were no more beds so we sat under a birds nest sofa and were quickly told to move because they costs extra, the same nest we used in January at no additional costs! And where did they expect us to sit with no beds/chairs available, in the sand?! Once again the hotel was barely full, they could have let us sit there and enjoy our beach day as hotel guests! The only time on this stay that I experienced quality service was from the spa! I wish I could remember the ladies name because she was the only one who gave excellent service and was truly caring about the guest experience. When I addressed certain issues with the front desk through out our stay they seemed indifferent and nonchalant they didn’t seem to care if we were having a good time or not. Needless to say, we won’t be returning! Nice hotel but nasty service!

The Fives Oceanfront is in search of an identity, and in its effort to appeal to a broad group of people, it falls short in many ways. It’s attempt to attract a younger, hipper guest, doesn’t satisfy the seasoned traveler. The fact it has a Bob Marley bar, and blasts reggae music all day is perplexing given that we chose Mexico over Jamaica. There is nothing Mexican about this hotel. Service is spotty. In 4 days of lounging by the beach or the pool, we were approached just once by a server inquiring if we wanted a drink. The only time we were proactively approached by staff was upon arrival when we were overwhelmed by a salesman trying to sell us meal plans, excursions and timeshares. This is a cross between a city hotel and a beach resort. Our balcony view faced the street front of the hotel so noise was a problem. Trucks, construction workers and constant dog barking from residential homes across the street was always present. The waterfront view rooms were better, and in hindsight, we should have paid extra. However, there are some good qualities about this hotel. We liked it’s proximity to town - a nice 15 minute walk, and the free parking was a plus. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The beach was great and the lounge chairs were always available. Although understaffed, they were accommodating. All in all, not a bad choice for a Puerto Morelos destination and it gets you away from the chaos of town, but allows easy access to restaurants and shops.

Beautiful stay and beautiful room. The people were pleasant and service was good when they got to you. It was a busy weekend and if you didn't go for meals at the right time the wait could be a while. I was on vacation so I didn't sweat it. I had the penthouse room 601 and it was truly amazing. My only complaint would be the main entry door to the suites, it slammed shut every time someone went through it and needs a door closer. It would happen at all hours if the night and morning. Also some workers were doing some work on the roof next to the villa and were basically over the roof with full view....this also was likely the noise I heard and woke me at around 4am. At then end of the day those things were very minor. The food was absolutely amazing and highly recommend it.
