The Krazy Lobster - 77940 Mahahual

God Bless the Krazy Lobster's owner for going above and beyond for my husband and I! My husband left his Go Pro in the taxi on the way over from the ship. The Owner Mauricio called around and found the Taxi who had it and had him return to the restaurant to give us our Go Pro. These are good, honest, hard working people-love them! We had a great time at the Krazy Lobster. We were sat at a table near the water. We enjoyed a very yummy Lobster meal and my hubby got an hour massage for only $20! He was very happy with the massage...surprised it was so cheap! He tipped well. The beers are cheap too! $2 The water is seaweed free because they have nets put up catching it before it comes in. If you have little ones, the water is shallow and calm! The service was very good as well! We very much enjoyed our visit!

Ok..... I liked this place, it was a short taxi cab ride from the cruise terminal($6 for two)through the town. Honestly it is very run down in the area. the service was decent our waiter was nice not very talkative but nice. the food was ok although I didn't get what I ordered which was breaded fried shrimp. I received grilled and just didn't complain. The lobster was a little tough but it tasted ok. Fish was very good and well seasoned. On to the reason i gave it 3 stars... I understand the vendors need to make money, and im from New Orleans where people beg on every corner BUT from the time we sat until the moment we left people came to our table EVERY 3-5 Minutes selling everything they could think of....no exaggeration. Yes you can just simply say no thanks but after about the 25th no thanks it took away from the experience..The only time they didn't come is when we were eating. The MINUTE the waiter picked up our plates they were swarming our table again NONSTOP until I told my husband let's go...we couldn't even allow our food to digest before we were taking a taxi back to the ship. Good experience but I won't return.

The James Gang visits the Krazy Lobster every time we’re on a cruise and port in Costa Maya. The pictures are seven years apart and we’ve had visits in between. The food is great, prices are even better, and the owner is as friendly as they come! He’s nice enough to get in the picture with us every visit. We’ll definitely be visiting again in the future!

This place was amazing. It was a quick taxi ride from port ($4 per person) . Waiters from the restaurant walked us to our table right on the beach. The food was good and amazing atmosphere with live music. You can also walk in the ocean they have a small beach ?. The beer was 5 for $5.
