D	Daniel Pike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not sure what is going on with the Reef 28. My wife and stopped by to look for a place to stay for the entire month of February, 2023. After a tour, we were impressed with the facilities. We were assured that booking into 2023 was not going to be a problem. However, after we spoke with the desk agent, we were told that it wasn't possible. To shorten the story, after agreeing upon a price, the agent let us walk away with over @$5400 US sitting on the table. He told us we would have to wait until September or October to complete the reservation. Not the way that I would run a business. Dan and Patty Pike
J	Julian Gonzalez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The party at the rooftop is very good, the food there not too much. I ordered a steak medium rare, but it was well done and very very salty. Me and my friends ordered cocktails and we all agreed they were weak. So yeah, better just go with beers and enjoy the view.
D	Daniel Miltz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel. Very nice, spacious and clean rooms. Food was good and upstairs roof area was bigger and better than what the pictures made it look. Would have been 5 stars but for the service. Most of the staff were rather unfriendly and some were rude. Nonetheless, this was a small negative. I would stay there again.
M	Marica - on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is prime, right off the strip in Playa Del Carmen and 1 block from the public beach with views of the beach from the rooftop. Also a 5 min walk to the ferry to Cozumel and close to Tulum with lots of tour options. I will suggest taking the all-inclusive option, it's not that much more money and covers food, drinks and access to sister resorts. The staff was great, but typically experience of a "concierge" who talks you into signing up for "time share website" presentation. The resort and the rooms were clean. If you want an adult only quick getaway I do recommend The Reef 28.
A	Alejandro Fernandez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though the hotel has a fantastic location, these are the reasons I will never stay here again: 1. The hotel is Noisy! It is surrounded by bars and restaurants which “attract” people with loud music. Besides, all the rooms are around the in-Restaurant and exposed to that noise day and night 2. The hotel has no front beach therefore we you have to pay a Beach club if you want to enjoy the beach of Playa del Carmen. 3. They say the roof Garden is the best thing after sliced bread. It is not! It’s a regular roof with some garden furniture and a pool a but bigger than a wading pool. 4. The local Asian restaurant is bad and expensive.
j	juventus23 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel is situated in a very good location with the beach and 5th Avenue are in walking distance. The staff at the hotel were kind for the most part. Food was decent, although food could take some time to get served especially during busy hours. It was not a big issue for us as were there on a vacation and not in a hurry to be somewhere. We enjoyed the time by ordering more drinks. Another con can be that there is noise from outside until 2 am but that is what you have to deal with for a good location such as this one. It was a pleasure to stay at the Reef 28 and maybe we visit again next time.
S	Shauna Mercy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful venue and good music HOWEVER, we were there for 2 hrs and it took that long to get two drinks, some nachos and sushi. We didn't go into the pool because it was small and packed ( we went on a Tuesday in the daytime so the roof wasn't really busy). When we finally got to order, the food was terrible and drinks inconsistent. My friend and I ordered the exact same drink and they tasted completely different. Our food took about an hour to get to us and the nachos were cold and soggy. When I left our server know...(I'm not sure how she didn't because the plate was cold to the touch)..she asked "what I would like her to do about that". My recommendation is that you go to enjoy the view and music...order a couple of beers and hope for the best. Otherwise there are far better food spots in Playa.
C	C.J. Gorrell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice rooftop club with lots of seating. Staff stay busy but sometimes are inconsistent with checking up on you. They are very busy so maybe under staffed? Drinks are good. Food was good but a little slow to come out. The experience was a little over hyped by the promotional staff but overall a good experience. The view and the vibe at the fives rooftop is a little better in my opinion. Can't go wrong with either.
