The view of the Zócalo from their patio is amazing. When we showed up they had a dinner buffet so we had that but the food was just average at best. Still, service was great and the view is unbeatable.

Scam. When they present the bill, it will include a 100 peso cover for each person they do not tell you about. They will add tax to the meal (not customary in Mexico) They will add an automatic 20% gratuity that is calculated for food, cover and tax. They also added a mystery charge of $300 pesos to the bill 1 burger, 1 guacamole, 3 tacos and 3 drinks was 2000 pesos (or $100usd).. only thought to check because the couple behind us also had the same issue.

Food was good, and 5 stars to wait staff! They are very friendly and attentive. Roman, head waiter, was exceptional. He guided me through the food choices and added historical context to some foods (because I was interested). I really appreciated his fluency in English because unfortunately my Spanish fluency is poor. I recommend this restaurant for the views, food, and wonderful wait staff!!

***DO NOT GO HERE*** Horrible experience; service was subpar and the food TERRIBLE. You are basically paying for the view, oh and you are paying EXTRA for that! Obviously, we got harrased from people who BAIT you to come upstairs. Not only did they say there was no "cover" ($50 pesos per person) for eating at the terrace but once you get to the area where you'll be seated after taking a small elevator who only fits 4 people you walk into a sea of employees who are sitting around on their phones extremely unprofessional. We were seated; we ordered what we were to consume because I will not call that food. I ordered a baked potatoe for my 10 month old fast forward the potato came out cold, yes cold! I sent it to be warmed up; some of the cheese was just cold. It came back and it was just a mess and the rice was horrible horrible horrible!!! It was mush tasted like garlic and cold. What's funny is that our waitress informed us that our food would be made fresh so it would take about 20-25 minutes JOKE! They will tell you tip is optional THEY WILL ADD THE TIP WITHOUT YOU KNOWING ALREADY

I’ll throw in my two cents, or MXN $700 ? Ok they got me and my cousin too. I’m a fish out of water(first time in the big city and minimal Spanish speaker)in DF but no stranger to rip off schemes anywhere in the world and this was my sixth trip to Mexico. I have a rule that I never patronize businesses that use street side touts or high pressure tactics, but made an exception to try this place because of the view and was actually amused by the men shouting down from the second story, at pedestrians walking by to come up ? Anyway the “food” was pretty lame and our limonadas ordered with extra ice (came with none) were served in giant beer steins. When those drinks hit the table I guessed they’d charge at least 150 pesos each and I was optimistic evidently ?. My cousin got a sopa Azteca that wasn’t that bad but probably just sourced for 60 pesos from a nearby restaurant and my Cesar salad was romaine, tiny pit-in green olives, a piece of oxxo brown bread toasted and cut in four, some shaved carrot ? some Oaxaca cheese ? or maybe similar but flavourless, and maybe a teaspoon of the finest(powder)/cheapest fake parmesan I’ve ever encountered anywhere. Oh yeah and a nasty little piece of grilled chicken—no Cesar dressing! ? We asked for ice and dressing which took over ten minutes-they eventually brought out a pint sized stein with ice and grocery store bottles of Cesar&1000 Island dressings? I thought the cheque would be around a 1000 pesos and it was 1400! The drinks , again just one litre mugs of powdered limonada, were 250 pesos each ? plus 20 percent mandatory tip! We shorted them 100 pesos and called them crooks before leaving. The view however was amazing!! If one were to go there just for a beer and be vigilant of their BS, or doesn’t mind the shenanigans, I’d say go for the view and maybe you might have a funny story or two as well!

DO NOT COME HERE, big RIP OFF. They’ll overcharge you specially if they notice that you are a tourist from ??. My husband ordered a New York Stake and it was the most disgusting thing ever!!! We paid all together like $100 dlls for party of two and we still hungry bc we didn’t eat any food. The view was great. Go and eat at EL GRAN HOTEL, next door , great food and view of the zocalo. I also recommend Sanmbors LOs Azulejos, Café Tacuba, even tacos de Canasta los Especiales, great choice. But save your self and DO NOT EAT at this restaurant. I wish someone warned us !

Best view of the plaza. James Bond fan so wanted to see inside of beautiful old hotel with glass ceiling and iron elevator and also have lunch up here. We had the pasta with mushroom cream sauce which was flavorful and good for the price of $185. My friend had the chicken skewers fir $309 and looked like a lot of food. Very busy but food in about 20 min.
