The entire staff was wonderful! Doormen, front desk, waiters, housekeeping…EVERYONE was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was terrific, the grounds were kept nicely, and the view was incredible-Carribean Sea on one side, vast jungle on the other! Was every last teeny tiny detail perfect-no, but I’ve never stayed somewhere that was. However, I would 100% recommend staying here!

it started at check-in. we paid for our Room after that they informed us that the terrace pool is not available due to renovation. on a monday the hotel will have no electricity for several hours and the lifts would not work etc. in this case we asked why we were not informed about this in advance. (then we would have decided on another hotel) nobody was interested, not even the manager of the hotel wanted to help us. He only said that he could offer us a bottle of wine, which we didn't get. very unfriendly staff. The beach was infested with ants and seaweed. our safe in the room didn't work several times. an employee kept coming and then it didn't work again. the food is very expensive for such a hotel. the check out didn't go as it should. overall not recommended at all. I only give the cleaning staff 1 star because our room was always clean. Oh yes, this hotel is also not suitable for smokers. since my girlfriend always had to leave the building/premises for smoking. and the hotel is not at the center of the city. Luckily we rented a car

We loved it here. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about with staff being rude, we were always greeted pleasantly with any questions answered quickly. The restaurants are alright but we rented a car and mostly drove around to local spots for food. The beach was awesome and great for snorkeling. Room was very clean and AC worked perfectly.

I just got back from Cozumel for a President's holiday weekend with my husband and selected this hotel because I am a Titanium Elite member with Marriott. Before arriving, I asked for an upgrade in a suite and they were very accommodating wanting to give me a complimentary upgrade that I deserved due to my status. When I arrived at the hotel, everyone was pleasant but did not make you feel welcomed nor did they go out of their way to converse with you to get to know you. The staff members are very cold, inflexible, and bureaucratic. I can give you lots of examples but one comes to mind when the restaurant was closing I ordered take-out since the dining area was unavailable. I brought my food over to the bar so that I can eat with my husband who was having a drink. They said that no food was allowed on the bar. So they won't let me in the dining area even though it was 5 minutes to closing and they won't let me eat at the bar. Okay? Enough of the horrible hospitality. The hotel itself is nice and looks like it was newly built. It is well maintained and very clean. It's one of Marriott's smaller properties with only two restaurants and a small pool area, but the bay in front of the hotel is beautiful and very swimming friendly. It's about 3 miles to town. My husband ran to the town on the bike/footpath. I wouldn't do an all-inclusive food with your stay here because of the limited food choices and the rigidity of rules. They do not go out of their way for anyone. Believe me. I couldn't even get bottled water from the restaurant without being charged. I had to go to the front desk to get my free water and then bring it into the restaurant. Otherwise, they were going to charge me. If you can deal with the culture/climate of the staff, it is a good place to stay location and cleanliness wise.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was polite and accommodating, the beach is fantastic, and they offer free snorkel and kayak rental in the afternoon- a very neat feature. Most accurately I'd like to provide 4.5 stars. The drinks were a bit expensive, I paid $50 for 2 grey goose and tonics. Also, I paid for a room with a private jacuzzi on the balcony. There is zero privacy for the jacuzzi. Jacuzzi balconies are only on the 3rd floor and extend out further than the above balconies allowing anyone above a full view of your balcony. Also, all the jacuzzis are visible from the neighboring balconies to your left and right. Cool feature, but lacks privacy. The free snorkels really made the trip. The beach front had incredibly calm and clear water, inviting even the most novice swimmers. Overall I left this hotel very pleased and relaxed.

This place is amazing! We got upgraded to an elite member suite that faced the ocean. It was the most beautiful view. They have reefs right off the private beach. And multiple pools. They have kayaks and snorkeling gear to rent for free. We do advise if you want to snorkel, the rental gear is cheap and will cut your mouth (this is the same with other places as well). The staff here are very friendly and hospitality was amazing! Thank you. We will definitely be back!

I would not come back here. This hotel feels like it tries to be premium but only had money to develop the building and then ran out of cash for anything good. The hotel suffers from huge humidity issues in the rooms (especially those without balconies). The smell is just horrible and all your clothes stored in the room will feel wet after a couple hours, and same for the bed sheets. Absolutely nuts and impossible to get a comfortable sleep. You literally feel like you’re sleeping between wet blankets. The hotel staff is well aware of the issues but denying. The food and drinks in the hotel are low quality for premium prices, it’s just a ripoff. I’m thankful we didn’t take the all inclusive option and went for food to the city centre or elsewhere paying 1/3 of the prices for WAY tastier food and drinks. Additionally you’ll find your day/evening much more entertaining in other places. Only good thing about the hotel are the private beach, great sea water clarity, and pool.

Starting from the check in the experience was so bad.. they took half hour to check us in ... We paid 420 dollars a night for the cabana and probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were tiny, no shower gel in , no bathrobes, no slippers, no hot water. Room service took over an hour. Staff was super rude and least interested to keep their guests happy. The jacuzzi area had no lights so you couldn't see anything at night. Pictures are deceiving. The most basic hotel which looks more like a guest house. I would never recommend anyone to stay here . There are much better hotels like intercontinental which is ten times better than this property. Don't make the same mistake as I did. When we complained to the staff they said this is the best we can expect and they can't do anything.. $1600 gone down the drain. May be the good reviews are for the normal rooms but please do not choose the cabana
