The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta - 48354 Puerto Vallarta

Best ocean swimming spot in PV. If you like to be in the ocean, this is a great beach. Calm and sandy. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Food is better than most. Ground floor walkout room in the picture.

Positive: Great customer service. Their stuff is very friendly, accommodating and mindful. The staff was always happy to help with anything and they always smiled and tried to do their best. Negative: It was a little run down but the quality of the customer service made it better.

Positive: The service and the amenities are top notch!! I wish my partner and I could afford to take off a month to live at the Westin. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The pool and the beach are picture perfect. Even the weather was on our side! Negative: I'm not a big fan of iguanas. The area is called 'iguana island' so if thats a no for you... you are warned. They were not in any of the rooms or common areas!!!! Which was amazing. But they do exist.

Everything about the hotel is okay, the view is great, looking down at the pool. There are only 2 chairs on the balcony, but space for four people. They did include a very thick blanket, and put it back up each time. I wouldn't say it's an issue, but it's 70 degrees outside at night (it's very hot). The fan in our room doesn't work, and there the shower stall is open, no doors. The beach isn't the best, just a very small beach, around 400 feet in area. On the good side, the beds are comfortable, the hotel itself is very close to downtown Puerto Vallarta, around 15 minutes away. The pools are decent, two pools, a smaller and more shallow pool, a bigger and deeper pool. There are two restaurants and a lot of lounge chairs at the pools and beach. Overall, a good experience, a very nice stay!

All the food is reasonably priced, nice spa, gorgeous grounds, excellent service. It’s quieter than the Marriott. The only negative was I think the rooms could use an upgrade to feel up to modern standards. But overall it’s a very nice place to stay for a few days.

Gorgeous grounds and great service! I love visiting this resort! The Aqua Fitness instructor goes above and beyond to make the experience fantastic! The gym and spa are also extremely updated and beautiful. I've been returning for 3 years and will continue to recommend!

Truly loved our honeymoon here! Super friendly staff, reasonable prices and well kept resort. It was very nice to be able to choose between the pool and the ocean each day. There was mainly adults there when we went mid December but looked like families were coming later on.

I wanted to write a review to thank EVERYONE at the Westin (Adan & the bellmen, Pedro & Eduardo by the pool, Alejandro & Adriana at the Pergolas, the front desk staff, the wonderful spa massage therapists & staff) for the absolutely wonderful vacation. Especially during a pandemic when it seems difficult or unnecessary to travel, everyone at the Westin was able to help us feel safe and cared for. I appreciated the open layout of the hotel and the ease of access from the airport. The pool and beach area are GORGEOUS and wonderful for safe relaxation. Testing for departure back to the states is easy (if you are smart and plan ahead). This was a much needed vacation. I keep telling all my coworkers and friends up here in grey Seattle that they need to get down to the Westin in Vallarta ASAP. My partner and I loved it so much, we plan to be back as soon as we can.
