This was a good central spot to be in this very touristy stretch of Mexico. I’m not entirely a fan of resort towns, and this one feels like Times Square but tropical. But the hotel is fine. It’s nice, right in the middle of everything, and there was a nice balcony off my room to see the people down below. Not bad. I would stay here again if I had to.

Very nice hotel with great decor and top quality rooms. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. The only annoying thing is the location as it’s got a rooftop bar on the top floor with very loud music until 1am. The restaurants next door also seem to blast music til late making it impossible to sleep!

I'm adding a star here because the service was great and will go leave a 5 star review for the Beach House right after this. As a review mentioned below, we were also upgraded to the King suite with wraparound balcony. The rooms are beautiful, there's no arguing about that. However, we had the exact same experience: LOUD. Like, unreasonably, "where the hell am I" loud. It was like being a nightclub during the day. We didn't make it to the night at this hotel so I don't know, but I can only imagine it was worse. On top of that, the air-conditioning was freezing and uncontrollable as the other review mentions, but we couldn't go outside or open our balcony door because of the noise. Finally, our wifi would not work in the room despite calling guest services 3 times. The noise and the wifi were a huge problem for us because we were actually working during the day and needed to do zoom calls and teleconferences. We thought that at this price point it would be a business-friendly hotel, but it really seems to be the place to go if you have money but no responsibilities or class (yikes, even I felt how mean that was to say, but definitely true). Anyway, our saga ended with a quick resolution. Betty is an excellent manager at this establishment (I'll talk more about the staff in my review of the Beach House). She did her best to help us and we were moved to the Beach House where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The second i saw where this hotel was located, i regretted our decision to stay here. If you’re looking for a couples getaway or any type of relaxation, this is not your spot. We were upgraded to a suite with wrap around balcony that is quiet literally centered between all the noise. It’s loud until after 1 am, sure they gave us earplugs but the bass alone will keep you up. Not to mention H&M construction at 2 am. Our rooms AC had a mind of its own. We couldn’t adjust it, it was set to freezing all the time. The cleaning staff did the absolute bare minimum, like literally just remade the bed and threw in new towels, trash was barely removed. Day club was nice, but you’d think that if you were paying to stay there, that you’d have access to chairs but no.. non-guests take over and you’re left using a locker or just leaving. I will not recommend this place to anyone and definitely will not be back. We spent most of the time at the beach house and would have switched hotels altogether if there had been vacancy.

We had a terrible experience at The Hilton Playa del Carmen Resort and decided to leave and booked this hotel last minute. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we had great customer service. Security at the door made the hotel feel safe, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. In addition the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The art installations and the detail that went into the rooms is gorgeous. We did have drinks from the sister location and this location and they weren't very strong, and we didn't eat at the hotel but that will not stop us from staying again if we are in the area. You do get privileges at the beachfront sister hotel as well so if you get tired of the rooftop pool you can head over to the other location to enjoy the surf and sand. Each room has a balcony so you can enjoy the sun during the day and the music of the nightlife. You're steps away from restaurants and bars and everything is easily accessible. Because we booked last minute it was pretty pricey so make sure to plan ahead if possible or check their specials.

This hotel is AMAZING. First, the culinary team deserves recognition for the awesome meals, every single one of them was so delicious. The front desk staff and valet service is absolutely top notch. The pool is gorgeous and turns into an awesome party every day. I've been around the world a few times, this may be my new favorite hotel! The only down side is the noise from the restaurant on the beach side goes until a little after midnight. I brought earplugs and was fine. If you stay on the back side, it's not an issue.
