★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hermanas Mendoza had my favorite tacos by far in Cozumel. I spent a week and a half on the island and ate almost 40 tacos.
This restaurant is a super casual place where the locals eat. It's away from the touristy areas. The staff speaks no English, lucky for me my friend speaks Spanish.
I ordered two dishes for myself: 3 shrimp tacos and 3 fish tacos. The total was less than $10usd.
Touristy restaurants charge $10 for 3 tacos.
This place is cash only.
