Nice ambiance and sensory experience. They have some sort of smoke machine for a smoky scent in the air. Greatly mixed mezcal drinks. They serve you water and a bowl of bar snacks right away-- a fun mix of chocolate covered coffee beans and plantain chips. An unexpected touch.

Such a moving culinary and cocktaily experience. The place is small and dimly-lit and feels exclusive, you feel like you found a hidden gem. The smell of the coals pairs perfectly with the aroma of the mezcals, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is absolutely exquisite. This is the kind of place I'll remember for a long time.

Excellent spot to try boutique mezcal. The bartenders are very professional and also mix great cocktails. The ambience is cool and sexy and I really enjoy the music and burning Palo Santo. Will be added to my bar rotation.

This place was highly highly recommended by locals, especially those in the bar and food industry. Eli Martinez is the mastermind behind this bar and it really lived up to the hype. Brenda was our bartender and she was fantastic, explaining all the flavor profiles of the mezcal and even letting us taste before we ordered stuff. This is a really new place so they're still building out their menu, the one thing I will say is that if you don't appreciate mezcal before walking in you definitely will after leaving. By the name obviously this is an extremely mezcal heavy place so just be aware of what you're getting into.

Great place to enjoy an amazing Mezcal, the atmosphere an the design of the place is a hole concept and the food is tasty. I recommend this place to go on a date or small groups since it’s a little bit small. Great design? Gray food, great mezcal and great service!

I can't decide if I like this place or not. Because on the one hand, I love the ambience and decor. It is like being inside an Aztec tomb. Very sparse, very dark. Normally I don't enjoy places that are too dark, but this works. The bar itself is beautiful with a huge stone top. The entire place is solid stone. But on the other hand... its minimalism is alienating and cold. There are not nearly enough chairs or tables, as if they don't want anybody to get too comfortable or stay very long. And perhaps it was just when we were there, but everyone appeared very snotty and rude. (The other patrons, not the staff who were neither rude nor friendly.) I came here with local friends who really know mezcal, and our group had an okay time but didn't stay for more than a few drinks. Music was a good volume and nicely eclectic. I tried their mezcal negroni. It wasn't even as good as a regular rosita. Just very, very basic and the Campari completely overwhelmed the mezcal. If they had used gin I probably wouldn't have noticed since the Campari pour was so heavy. The other cocktails we tried were all basic too, but not bad. Just boring both in flavour and complexity. Maybe that’s the point? It fits the aesthetic. The mezcal choices were okay too. Just not a very warm or welcoming spot. Sort of like a one-and-done vibe.

i was hesitant to come here because i’m not a big fan of mezcal but i’m pleasantly surprised. this bar has a great atmosphere and their bartenders are so friendly you can tell they love their job. also can we talk about how beautiful their restroom is?

Vibes, vibes and more vibes. Staff are great, bilingual and helpful. Drinks are bewildering in the best way possible. Atmosphere is like none other. VISIT. ..but not if you're old and cranky.
