We went there to rent some bikes but they were in bad conditions with no manteinance at all. We had to cancel the service.

Nice hotel in the centre of a nice village.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, vintage decoration style and quiet. Downtown located, just a couple of blocks away from main square and San Felipe Fort. I little expensive if consider is not next of the bacalar lagoon. Friendly staff, good breakfast.

Deafening music next door made sleeping impossible. I’ve been awake for two straight nights. The first night I spoke with receptionist and after arguing with me and evading my questions, he told me that it was only on Saturdays. Okay, so I didn’t try to check out and book someplace else, but the same thing happened again. Also they tried to put us in the wrong room when we arrived (didn’t match the pictures at all) until I insisted, and then the room we were supposed to have wasn’t set up- didn’t have the bottled water we were promised or even a blanket (just sheets). When I went to ask for a blanket, the one I was given was damp and I had to make the bed myself. They also haven’t given me the correct size towels and the terrace isn’t set up- cushions are in a pile and the chairs aren’t in a usable arrangement, plus half of it is so dark at night that I couldn’t see to read a book. A lot of the decor is also not in great shape and it’s dated, which I probably could overlook if I weren’t so sleep deprived.

Great hotel in the heart of Bacalar: close to public beaches and restaurants, with a lovely rooftop terrace. Carlos made awesome breakfast! Would recommend, although if you’re sensitive you might want to wear earplugs at night to not wake up by dogs or roosters.

Stay away from this place; this reserves a zero star!! Imagine you arrive at 20:30 at night with your family in high season having given your credit card number over the phone to secure a reservation and the hotel tells you “sorry no rooms left” !! The owner then makes a story that the person whom we had made the booking no longer works there and it is not a hotel policy to take credit card reservations, does not even bother trying to help or find a solution or take responsibility for dumping a family at night. There are plenty other places here with more professional and responsible staff. Thank god we had another couple staying at another hotel who assisted us in finding a third place ...

The hotel hadn't had any water, either for the shower, the toilet or even for just wash the hands. We claimed this but the owners didn't do anything about it and said that this was 'normal'. Furthermore it was very noisy at night so we barely could sleep. It was the first hotel in my life I decided to left in advance. The people working there weren't friendly at all and didn't speak any English so the communication was very hard. No recommendation!

Excellent service! Even though I didn’t stay at the hotell they helped me print out some papers when no other hotels did or could. I really needed help and they did everything they could and their service was just incredible. I specially want to thank Roberto!
