I would like to say first off that our tour for the Cañón del Sumidero would have been a 5/5 rating. The pick-up was simple and on time. The driver took us to two miradores lookouts and a comfortable boat ride through the Cañón with sufficient time to stop and take pictures of crocodiles and spider monkeys. One hour at Chiapa de Corzo to explore and we got back around the time they said the tour would end. The horseback riding to Chamula was a different story and it was all because of one man. The driver. It was a culmination of three little things that made him unprofessional. First it was the pickup that took almost an hour because it was only one car and we were six people plus the driver. He ordered a taxi for the other four people so we finally left (not a big deal but it’s something worth noting). Second was the fact that he put his face in my girl’s chest when he helped her down from the horse (he didn’t do that to anyone else). Lastly, he didn’t want to give us a ride back to San Cristobal for whatever reason so we got back in a taxi with six people cramped plus the taxi driver (again not that big a deal). Basically the big issue with this tour company was that they hired a creepy unprofessional driver to take people horseback riding. If you’re a group of all males you shouldn’t have an issue and I’d highly recommend this tour company. If your group includes females, just take the tour to the Cañón del Sumidero.

Juan Carlos is a great guide. He is really helpful, always happy and ready to problem solve. He is a man of great character too, trustworthy and reliable, we highly recomend him to lead any tours in Chiapas.

My friend and I had an extremely lovely experience here. The team helped us organise all the documents we needed for an upcoming trip and were extremely kind and beyond generous. Would definitely recommend touring with Chultot while in San Cristobal!!!!

The tour was ok. We were suppossed to have a private car but we ended up in a caravan of vans, in a car. Why pay for a private car if it does not do what you want? The begging at these tours is coordinated and seems to be done hand in glove with the drivers of the tour. Example 1, we had to stop where the driver wanted to stop.As soon as we stopped, the beggars and touts were on us like fleas. Example 2, We were not given the ability to choose where we ate at. We had to eat at a crossroads buffet in Ocosingo and had no ability to tell the driver to go somewhere else. BTW they charged forusing the bathroom but had no seats on the toliets or toilet paper. Example 3, We were not given the ability to skip any locations due to bad weather, or high prices. The "tour guide" on the outside of Palenque offered us a special 1 hour tour for 3000 pesos, or twice the cost of the entire tour. Of course we had our humble driver requesting that we talk to him. What a load of garbage. Just inside the gate another guide offered us a 2 hour tour for 500 pesos and a guide book in English was 70 pesos.. and on and on and on. The greatest reason to skip these people are the tour travel time lies. We were told it was 4 hours to Palenque. IT WAS 8 HOURS TO GET TO PALENQUE. IT WAS A 6 HOUR RETURN TRIP. That was our experience, YMMV, but we will never use the service or recommend them to anyone going to San Cristobal de Las Casas. Cavet emptor!

We've been to Sumidero canon tour with the Chultot agency in San Cristobal. We knew it was a bit more pricy than the other agencies but they justify it with their really good service, and clearly they've got good reviews. At the end we ended up sharing the tour with people that paid 180 pesos less per person than us. We were in the same van, same driver (of course), same boat, same everything ! To sum up, same service but way cheaper price... Everything went well with them, but my advice would be : don't waste extra money in a tour that you can find waaaay cheaper elsewhere. In that case they booked their tour with "Pasión por Chiapas".

Amazing views and informative personal

We booked the horsetour here. The tour was good, but the help from Chultot was truly amazing. Superfriendly, trustworthy and easy going people. They went out of their way to help us with our questions. We will definitely come back here next time.

Overall nice and easy experience with the agency. We have reserved a customized tour and Lupita helped us in arranging everything according to our preferences and timeline. A big thank to Fredi, our driver, who has been capable of driving us everywhere with a big support and always making us feel safe and comfortable.
