TU - 77760 Tulum

Very cool, laid back restaurant for modern Mexican cuisine with a twist. Wide selection of fish, meat and vegan dishes. We had 3 dishes 2 vegan, 1 octopus and all were delicious. Service was very friendly, the vibe is great, and the decorations spot on. Also, prices are more than fair. Thanks tu Tulum was great.

Had the tuna filet here! Was soo good! The potato salad next to it was warm and super nice as well. My gf had risotto that was also super nice. Recommend this place, but you have to make a reservation in advance. Amazing food! The prices are a little bit higher than rest of Tulum, but worth it!

The short ribs, octopus and flan were fantastic. The cocktails were a little too creative at times.. the one with the turmeric was a too chalky. The service was good, but anything from the bar took a while. Ambiance is good and interesting, but the upper room had poor acoustics and made it hard to hear when the room was full. Overall good experience and great food!

Holy delicious! Stop wondering about where to go for dinner and get on your bicycle asap to Tú — stat! With barely 6 four top tables to its Tulum-chic name, you would be wise to come early and claim a prime table. The rustic ambiance isn’t just a front, it’s genuine charm that is intentional and not at all not pretentious — but the quality of the food is good enough that they could be. Having braved the chaos that is the hoteleria, I would save the agony of that commute any day to cycle to the masterful food of Tú and enjoy the ambience of street side service in a hidden gem. Service is thoughtful and timely, excellent recommendations that I indeed availed myself of. The ceviche was amazing but the details were what took the dish from a four to a solid five - I mean, fresh from the oven tortilla crackers and thinly sliced yam - so good! The black quinoa-stuffed poblano pepper was picture perfect with a red sauce that I wanted to bathe in. All around solid little restaurant that you should def swing by either after the beach or en route to the late night jungle party.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner here in May 2022. The food was incredible - TU has plenty of vegan options besides fish and meat. We would definitely recommend the vegan risotto and the octopus. The staff was extremely friendly and spoke good English. Since the restaurant is located in a less popular downtown area, the prices were fair compared to the places located at the beach, for example, you could get a glass of good house wine for 150 instead of almost mandatory 300+ pesos at the beach. Finally, TU is very well decorated and has a very calming atmosphere due to dimmed lights and candles. Reservation recommended especially in high season via WhatsApp.

Tu was one of the best places in Tulum! A nicer local spot for more fancy food. The risotto and octopus were my absolute fave!! We also ordered a cheese board, mussels, and ceviche. I loved the food and the service!! The prices weren't very expensive. There were 8 of us and they were very accommodating. I would come back again!!

Oh man. Everything was delicious. The ceviche could have used more heat or salt but was tasty. The octopus turned me into an octopus fan and the risotto literally melted in my mouth. So much flavor, cleaned the plate. Cocktails were fire too. Also, great late night vibe. Great for a date night.

Tū is an interesting restaurant with mix of drinks and food presentation. Great customer service. Upscale price point. I like both vegan and octopus taco( the tortillas were unique in flavor and texture). Best octopus taco that I tried in Tulum. However, the tuna grilled didn’t meet what we were looking for( they didn’t list what kind of sauce to pair it with on the menu), the sauce and glaze both were too sweet for a fish dish.
