Ukami - 77780 Tulum

Amazing! Food and atmosphere is great and the staff is so friendly. As our first time there, our server suggested the “everything sampler” dish. It was a little pricey but was large enough to feed both my boyfriend and I, and everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a sushi restaurant during your stay in Tulum.

Came to this place by the power of google. We wanted sushi and picked a place based off the menu. Great sushi overall! The rolls pictured are aki toi (best one) and ta chi lozo. We also ordered chin chun Chan. They serve a tasting table for 2pp, We didn’t try it but definitely for the sushi obsessed! Seriously recommend!!

Amazing. Vibe is on Point and the food was fresh and spectacular. Japanese/Mexican fusion. We ordered the Omakase Mayapanese. A collection of chefs specialties. The Serrano margarita was perfect as well. The spicy edamame was delicious. A must!

This is probably the best dining experiences we have ever had, not only in Tulum. During out first visit we went for the tasting menu that was recommended to us by our very friendly waiter. We received a massive, colorful and impressive platter mixed with a variety from their menu. It was all delicious, a fantastic fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors and twists. We thought the food and service was so great that we had to come back for a second visit. We ordered our favorites from the first time plus some new courses and it was even more delicious than we remembered. The owner also gave us a tasting of other items from the menu. The service from the owner and the staff was beyond friendly and the atmosphere + music adds a special vibe. We had such a great time during both our visits and I can highly recommend Ukami to anyone visiting Tulum beach. Especially if you want a more personable experience and vibe compared to the mainstream places in the area.

This restaurant was out of this world! Food was 10/10, service 10/10 and amazing atmosphere. Spencer was an amazing server, very kind, welcoming and a ton of fun. He treated us like family. This was by far our favorite restaurant we visited during our time in Tulum. If you’re looking for great food and a fun atmosphere, Ukami is the place for you!

Our food was great! My boyfriend & I got some maki hand rolls, octopus noodles, and a few rolls each…..for $220. The prices at this restaurant are largely due to the location, as it’s in the Hotel Zone. The quality is fantastic, however the atmosphere should be elevated more to match the prices. This restaurant is off the main road in the hotel zone & ‘outside’ despite the small over head coverage. You are exposed to the noise from passing mopeds, cars, bikes, guests, etc.

The service and food was fantastic. We had three different rolls that were all very unique and very fresh. We met the owner and he even gave us free drinks! Laid back and intimate vibe even in a busy place.

Best meal in Tulum, we came two nights in a row. Absolutely love the concept, Japanese + Mexican…SO DELICIOUS. Literally everything we had was incredible, the fusion is everything. The staff (William) and owner are great, we had wonderful service and great ambiance both nights. Don’t worry about the most “popular” restaurants on Tulum beach….all the same cuisine and boring (in my opinion). I’m so glad we decided to eat here.
