★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent health care! I stepped on quite a large thorn that had wedged itself somewhat deeply into my foot. After trying to get it out myself, to no avail, we consulted another local clinic. The doctor there had a hard time removing the thorn and recommended I go to Zihua hospital instead. I decided to see if Unidad Medica Rural would be able to help before making the trip to Zihua. The doctor there informed me that she might not be able to remove it but after 10 minutes of gentle manoeuvring with needles and tweezers she was able to remove it fully. They didn't even charge me a peso. Grateful for the excellent service.
