Restaurants are overpriced for the quality. Best part of beach for owners only. Staff is great. Bring good shoes, walking on wood planks most of the time. Good pools. Next time we will go back to an all inclusive like Dreams. Ocean swimming is rocky.

Everyone I met was very nice and accommodating. A few reasons for my 2 star review On the 3rd day I found a very large spider in my room that scared me so bad I didn't sleep much the rest of the trip. It resembled a very venomous spider that we have in the United States. I won't say which one, and I won't say it was venomous for certain, only that it looked similar. All the pools are very loud with music and activities after about 10am, if you go to the beach to escape it you are pestered by vendors every 5 minutes. Very hard to get any reading done.. The food is pretty bland. Service is great, but the food is just...meh. reminded me of a cafeteria in a nursing home.

Beyond disappointed with this property. My mother had booked us our dream family trip to say thank you for our hard work. We were suppose to arrive on Sunday and due to a snow storm in our home town we needed to arrive 1 day early on Saturday. The venue did not give my mom and options and forced her into an upgraded room with an additional $6,000 price tag. The property itself is very nice, but extremely large to navigate. Be prepared to give yourself plenty of extra time to travel from one spot to another. Unfortunately, I became very sick on this trip with parasites and an infection from the food/drinks having to be transferred via ambulance to the hospital. After spending two days in the hospital in another country which was terrifying but luckily was an amazing hospital. My mom goes to talk to management and after getting passed from one person to another and so forth for hours she finally talks to the corporate team and they were not willing to do anything for us in anyway. We had a pre-purchased credit of over $600 left and they were not willing to give us our OWN money back. So we were forced to either spend it on stuff we didn't need or want or completely lose it all. In short, the property is beautiful was way over priced, awful customer service for when it truly matters not just for show, and truly made our trip so much worse when it was already a terrible situation. I am beyond disappointed in this property and the way this management team handled our many points of bad experiences.

Extremely nice service. It felt like everybody was glad to have you with them and were more than willing to help you. The food in the many restaurants was immaculate and reasonably priced. Cirque Du Soleil was absolutely worth every penny with the incredible food and performance. I recommend this place as a go-to for hotel resorts.

This place is beyond beautiful. Seriously, like, almost too beautiful. But look past the beauty, and you’ll see that literally none of the guests are smiling or seem to be having a good time. My Mom and I went for a promotional presentation as part of a requirement for a package deal, so we sat through a 90 minute sales pitch from one of the workers. He was super nice and friendly, a great talker and genuinely nice, but once my mom very kindly explained why we didn’t want to take part of the resort, he called her a liar and completely attacked her character. My mom works hard to be able to vacation and she just doesn’t want to be tied down to some privileged and money hungry resort company. He was extremely out of line and it honestly was so rude. Not even mentioning the fact that the beach is very sub par, everything is very expensive (even though they claim to have competitive prices compared to other resorts- sorry, they just don’t) and you have to take a golf cart to be able to go anywhere; it was a disheartening experience. So with that being said, if you want to spend thousands of dollars to have everything handed to you on a silver platter, this is the place for you. But honestly, going to the resorts in cancún are worth more for your money. And you don’t have to be constantly hassled for MORE of your money. I’m sure this company will continue to thrive and become a mega giant, but it’s just so superficial that it’s sad.

Beautiful property. I would recommend anyone visit here once. Food options are mainly their restaurants and the cost can increase quickly. The average age of the guests is over 50.. So while the resort was very relaxing many of the gets seem very stuck up and created a somewhat uncomfortable environment. Their sales presentation for becoming a Member of their club was quite unconvincing. I recommend anyone visit here at least once. We enjoyed our stay but will not be revisiting this property.

Our family had an amazing time here. We came with our friends who are owners. Yes, the food is expensive, but think about what it takes to get hot food and cold drinks to the middle of the jungle right to the edge of the pool for your pleasure. We racked up about $2-300 in food and drinks per day, but I was so happy to pay it. The resort is beautiful, we loved our room, the pools were great, the gulf water was so warm. By the 3rd day, our 13 year old could navigate the shuttles alone so we didn't have to worry too much about her getting back to the room by herself. We spent some time diving around the coral which was amazing. We visited the Grand Mayan pool, and the beach club a few days each. I would never buy a timeshare, but this would be a place to get one if I would. Thank you hotel staff, thank you cooks, and thank you bartenders and servers!

My stay there was great. The resort is spotless and all workers wear masks, always, which is very much appreciated. The place is huge and has a ton of people working there, all of whom where very nice and helpful. We had a problem at check-in when there was a miscommunication between the hotel and RCI but the very efficient receptionists resolved the issue right away. The rooms were spacious and modern, with great finishes and the two tubs, (one jacuzzi tucked in a corner of the bedroom and a small tub/pool at the balcony) where a great perk and where used to relax after a day of… relaxing at one of the many pools that Grand Mayan gives you access to. Overall a great relaxing place with good food and great services. Excellent resort.
